Relive The Golden Era At Old Goa
Goa is like an iceberg, you see only the crust of it at the first glance but there is a lot going on underneath the surface which is invisible to the average tourist. But there are some exceptions to this rule too. There are a select few who book their domestic air tickets to this place in search of that very side of the city that left them awestruck the last time. Old Goa is the region we are talking about here and one can say that it is one of the least explored places of this destination.
Constructed in the 15th century, the city served as a fully functional province till the end of the 18th century. It used to be the trading centre of the Portuguese India from where they would trade with countries across different continents. It was a disastrous plague that wiped out this place from the business map of the world. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is the current identity of this city and it is doing a fine job of being a heritage city. It still has a lot to offer from the other side of the time zone to its visitors who often visit it via fast air ticket, even when it is in ruins.
