This zone is also very scenic and is known for best wildlife sightings which include tigers, elephants, deer and cobra.

Jhirna Zone Entry Gate: Dhela Gate Best time to visit: October to June This important zone, 16 kilometres from Ramnagar, is particularly famous for providing the sight of sloth bear and wild boar, though it is also a good habitat for tiger, leopard and deer.

Bijrani Zone Entry Gate: Amdanda Gate Best time to visit: October to June Bijrani is an exciting zone endowed with stretches of grassland as well as dense forests. The chances of tiger sightings and other animal encounters are relatively higher in this zone.

Durga Devi Zone Entry Gate: Durga Devi Gate Best time to visit: November to June

This zone is particularly famous for bird watching and for sighting wild elephants. The river water in the Durga Devi zone is also home to endangered Mahsheer fish.

Jungle Safari in Corbett A safari tour is the best way to explore the richness of the jungles and to come face to face with the wild animals.

Three types of safaris are available in the Corbett Park – Jeep Safari, Elephant Safari and Canter Safari. Jeep and Elephant safaris are available at all zones while canter safari is available only for the Dhikala Zone. Only people who have their bookings in the forest rest houses situated at this zone can do jeep safari, for others, canter is the only option.

Places around the Park The state of Uttaranchal is known for its hills, lush stretches, rivers and extensive range of flora and fauna. The scenic landscapes offer several attractions for visitors. Travel to Nainital, the picturesque hill station that lies approximately 145 kilometres from the park. Corbett Waterfall and Corbett Museum are the other attractions worth seeing.
