The spring is here and so is the start of the 2023 golf season. Hopefully many of you will have gotten out for your first round of the year prior to reading this or are planning to do so soon. We anticipate another strong year in terms of activity on the golf course and early season event registration currently reflects this prediction. Please register in advance to secure your place in your favorite events. If you are interested in playing in an event but looking for a partner, please consider signing up as a single and notify the Golf Shop that you are on the market. My staff and I will do our best to help make a match of any single players. After reviewing our tee time lottery system over the winter, the Golf Committee approved moving the weekday lottery to be published five days in advance, an increase from three days. Weekend lottery results will now be published three days in advance for both Saturday and Sunday, as well as Monday holidays. We believe this change will help making planning your rounds easier going forward and create a better experience for our members and their guests.

A Message from the Greens Superintendent

Adam Mis

The weather is slowly warming up. We have a number of projects to complete this spring and are just waiting until we receive more consistent drier weather to move some soil into certain locations. We have new tees to move soil to and get ready for the irrigation install around those areas.

Our irrigation contractor will be on-site the middle of April to start the project. The weather this spring in the northeast has delayed their arrival, but once they are here things will start moving quickly. We will be providing more frequent updates once the contractor arrives.

The golf course has weathered the winter very well. We had a month of ice cover on the course, but we have not experienced any noticeable damage.

We are very fortunate that almost all of our grounds staff are returning from last season. This will provide great consistency in what we are trying to accomplish moving forward.
