As Spring arrives here at Transit Valley Country Club, we are ready to launch an exciting new season for our members and your families. As part of being one of the most attractive lifestyle venues in Western New York, I am pleased to announce several major capital project developments that you will see upon returning to TVCC:

1. The highly-needed and membership-approved golf course irrigation project will begin in mid-April. As work is staggered from hole-to-hole, we are anticipating minimal interruption to member play and, weather-permitting, full completion within six to eight weeks.
2. The main swimming pool filters have been replaced and maintained and are all ready for the 2023 season. We are also power washing the pool and retiling a few surfaces.
3. The ballroom carpet has been replaced. Special thanks to Eric Balsom for helping us expedite this project.
4. In April, we will be power washing the tennis courts to remove the staining that is commonly seen.
5. A contractor will also be repairing the cracked surfaces of the upper tennis courts and will clean that surface for play.
6. The men’s steam room will have been completely sealed and retiled. This is a noticeable upgrade to a much-used asset.
7. Adam Mis’ team is already on the golf course continuing to work on the tee project as well as getting the course ready for play.
As you can see, we have had a very busy off-season and continue to invest our capital funds wisely. The goal is to always improve your member experience at TVCC and that all begins with having outstanding facilities.
In other news, I want to point out that our Club’s financial performance has been solid through the first quarter. Though I have only been here for a brief time, I am very thankful for my team’s efforts to keep costs in line.
I also had to make some difficult off-season decisions regarding the days and nights of restaurant operations. Those decisions have paid off and have saved the Club a great deal of money. I will continue to work with the Board of Governors and the Finance Committee to ensure the best financial decisions are made for the greater good of the Club.
Another financial influencer is membership. Membership growth is always the lifeblood of a successful club. As usual, Tina is doing an amazing job of meeting applicants and introducing them to all of the incredible assets here at TVCC. Given this activity, we are very confident that we will meet our 2023 membership goals.
Our market branding strategy of being a family friendly club that is welcoming to all is continuing to pay big dividends. Your investments here at Transit Valley make this a relatively easy selling point for prospective members and we thank you all for that.
