Co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme, this Programme is part of the Green Skills project implemented by Business Impact Lab (North Macedonia) and Ascend Consulting (Malta) between 15 February and 14 November 2024.
The primary goal of the project has been to empower young VET students, recent graduates and social entrepreneurs from both North Macedonia and Malta to drive us towards a more sustainable future. Specifically, by equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to identify and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities that can make a positive impact on society.
The project main activities revolved around the design, preparation and delivery of an Acceleration Programme for “Boosting Impact Business Skills”. The Programme consisted of a Digital Bootcamp and a Demo Day in Skopje, where participants had the opportunity to develop, fine-tune and present their impact business concepts. Between June and September 2024, online group trainings and individual mentoring sessions were provided by a team of international experts, as well as a number of networking opportunities aimed at facilitating collaborations between the participants and with various stakeholders. Overall, the participants have been guided and supported in their business concept development along the following key topics:

Green Cart is an online platform that connects farmers with their potential business partners and allows individual market buyers to easily order fresh fruit and vegetables as well as other organic products. The goal is to support local farmers, to facilitate the purchase of organic products by introducing home delivery, and all of that to have a positive impact on the environment and the community. Every farmer will be verified and the buyer will be able to see the location of the farm and video or pictures of the fields in which the crops are grown. Leftover food that is not sold will be repurposed (made into juices, dried fruit, etc.).
For people aged 20-50 who want to consume organic products and for the farmers which produce them Green Cart is a mobile application that will enable users to order organic fresh fruits and vegetables as well as for farmers to sell their products online and be verified which proves the quality of their production.
