The Peninsula Club Swimming Pool Rules Booklet

Dear Member of The Peninsula Club, The Peninsula Club staff has been working very hard in the off-season to have The Club and pools ready for another great summer! The safety of our members and guests is the number one priority of the staff at The Peninsula Club. The lifeguards are at the pool to help us provide a safe, fun atmosphere for members and their guests while visiting The Peninsula Club. It is important that members’ children (and guests) understand the role of the lifeguards – to enforce rules and policies to prevent accidents from occurring. We ask that you help us by reinforcing the importance of following the rules with your children and also respecting the lifeguards and the job they are here to do. We ask that you direct questions or concerns to Kris Cichelli, Activities Coordinator, and not at the lifeguards who are watching the pools. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to a safe and fun summer at the pool! Please call 704-439-2913 or email kris.cichelli@thepeninsulaclub.com if you have any questions.

Member Sign-In and Guest Registration Please be sure to check in at the desk when you enter the pool area. We respectfully request you register yourself, your family and your guests. Registration is important for the following reasons: - In the event of an emergency, we need to have the names of all of our members and guests at the pool. - If there is an error with billing, we can verify dates and charges by referring to the “sign-in” book. - The Peninsula Club is a private club and we want to ensure that members and their guests are the only ones entering the pool. - To maintain accurate records on the number of people utilizing the pool on a daily basis.

Guest Fee Rates Adults and Children are $5.00 per person.

Houseguests Guests that are staying in your home and are registered as “houseguests” with the Membership Office are not required to pay guest fees.

Babysitters/Nannys/Caregivers Guests providing child care to the children of members are not required to pay guest fees.

Pool Parties The Peninsula Club is happy to host your pool party. Please contact Kris Cichelli for details at 704-439-2913 or activities@thepeninsulaclub.com.

Disciplinary Policy The Peninsula Club staff hopes we will never have a problem which will require disciplinary action. However, we have outlined below The Peninsula Club’s procedures for such disciplinary action, should the need arise: 1. First Offense: Warning and explanation of The Club’s rule; confirmation that the rule is understood. 2. Second Offense: With a second offense, the offender is to sit out for 5 or 10 minutes; confirmation the rule is understood. 3. Third Offense: Management will suspend the offender from the pool for the day. Parents will be contacted and written notification will be given to the parents if the child is under the age of 17. Once a member has been suspended from the pool 3 times, the member will not be allowed at the pool until a meeting is arranged with parents and the General Manager.
