F
urby Furbling friends, from Hasbro, are lively companions for any Furby Boom creature, which combines physical and digital play for a fun entertainment experience. With the free Furby Boom app, kids ages 6 and up can go on a digital adventure via their mobile devices as they raise, care for, and play games with their Furby Boom creature. Similar to the virtual Furblings friends featured in the Furby Boom app, these pint-sized creatures will be recognized by Furby Boom, or Furby Boom can sing a song with them. Pat the Furblings friends’ heads to hear fun sounds and Furbish phrases. The Furblings friends also unlock content within the free Furby Boom app, such as unique playroom décor and a matching Furbling egg. Furblings will be available in six pattern combinations including waves, stripes, and zigzag designs. Six additional patterns will be available later this year. The Furby Boom app is available for iOS and Android devices. Not all functions of the app work with Furblings friends. This spring, the Furby Boom creature will be available in five additional fashion-forward pattern combinations, including hearts, stars, and diamond designs. Additional patterns will be available later, including an Easter-inspired Furby Boom with bright Furby Furbling pastels and holiday-themed designs.

ith eKids’ Marvel Creativity Studio Smart Stylus’ variety of coloring and drawing tools, kids use an iPad to create their own superhero scenes, complete with sound effects and backgrounds. The app includes professionally illustrated coloring pages, where kids can add flair with drawing tools and an extensive color palette. Kids can also unlock special tools to flawlessly color the pages. An interactive grid system includes specialty drawing aids, such as a side-by-side drawing canvas, trace lines, and a “drawing scope” that allows artists of all levels to successfully learn how to draw the characters. Artists can build and animate action scenes with character stickers, sound effects, speech bubbles, and backgrounds, and can create custom stickers and add them to animated scenes. The Disney Creativity Studio Smart Stylus lets real Disney artists teach kids how to draw their favorite Disney characters. Activities such as tracing, connecting the dots, and coloring provide hours of fun. Kids can access more than five different drawing tools, flip the stylus to erase, shake the stylus for magical art effects, and easily change the line thickness for precision drawing.
