Provincial Park Uxbridge Urban
Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park was created on July 1, 2024. As a new park, it is open to the public but has limited operations and amenities at this time. Ontario Parks staff will take a gradual and phased in approach to park operations and any development in the future. There are currently a few trails open to explore. Preserve
Visit this 140-acre preserve of rolling hills, woods, streams, ponds, and meadowlands, where the countryside meets the town at Concession 6 and Hwy 47. Uxbridge was once home to Canadian artist David Milne who painted from his 2nd story window on Brock Street in the early 1930s, capturing landscapes and architecture from the area. His paintings can now be found in the National Gallery of Canada and the McMichael Collection of Canadian Art.

Today, the Thomas Foster Memorial is an award-winning tourist attraction and small performing arts venue. It is open seasonally for tours and concerts and serves as a picturesque backdrop available for rentals for film sets and special events, such as weddings and memorial services.
Located in the beautiful countryside just north of Uxbridge is the incredible Thomas Foster Memorial, a hidden gem and by far the grandest structure in the area! This “Jewel on the Hill”1 was built for $250,000 in 1935-1936 by former Toronto Mayor, Thomas Foster, as a tribute to his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Ruby, who died before the age of 10. On his travels to India, Foster was so struck by the magnificence of the Taj Mahal, it became his inspiration when building the Memorial. The Memorial brilliantly combines artistry and architectural design that crosses many periods, boasting Byzantine domes and mosaics and Romanesque bronze work.

Open seasonally for private tours and events, the UHC offers ten historic buildings for tours including the Fifth Line Church (1870), and the Quaker Hill Schoolhouse (1924). The five-acre site overlooks the Uxbridge Valley and Oak Ridges Moraine, a beautiful back drop for photos or a picnic. The off-leash dog park is located adjacent to the UHC site, enabling both four-legged and two-legged family members to stretch their legs.

Rotary Skate Park and Optimist Pump Park

Visit the world class OptimistPump Park and Rotary Skate Park. The Rotary Skate Park, designed for skateboarding, bicycling, rollerblading and scootering, has street-style and bowl features with something for all ages and skill levels. The Optimist Pump Park is the only one of its kind in southernOntario. Bikers and boarders come from afar to ride the pump track, a hand built looping trail system of geometric berms and “rollers” (smooth, graduated mounds). The name comes from the pumping motion created by the upper and lower body as the rider maintains speed and accelerates around the track.Located at the Fields of Uxbridge, the Parks arean easy bikeride from town, or if coming by car there is plenty of parking available.

Located at 180 Main St. S., Elgin Park serves as the heart of Uxbridge and a central hub for the Town Trail network. This charming park offers a multitude of recreational opportunities, making it an ideal destination for a picnic, a leisurely bike ride, or hosting outdoor events. Throughout the year, Elgin Park hosts various shows and festivals, including the popular annual Canada Day Celebration and Uxbridge Fall Fair. Spanning 140 acres of rolling terrain, the park features a circular asphalt trail, public washrooms, two playgrounds, a baseball field, the Uxbridge horsemen club arena, and the Rotary Bandshell for hosting events. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the woodlands, wetlands, and ponds within the park, which are interconnected by 6 km of marked trails. The park has also recently introduced a new Universal Accessible playground, providing an inclusive and exciting play environment for children of all abilities to enjoy. Whether you prefer a short 0.5 km Fitness Trail loop with fitness equipment, a scenic 0.75 km Elgin Park Trail loop, or a picturesque 1.3 km Elgin Pond Trail encircling the pond, Elgin Park offers something for everyone.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Uxbridge along Centennial Drive, Centennial Park provides convenient access to both car and bike parking facilities. It's a fantastic spot to enjoy outdoor activities, with picnic tables, well-maintained trails, and the added convenience of the Welcome Centre at the Public Library. The Welcome Centre boasts outdoor seating, Wi-Fi access, washrooms, and a waterfilling station, making it a comfortable and practical destination for visitors. Centennial Park also holds special significance as a segment of The Great Trail of Canada, a trail system that spans an impressive 27,000 kilometers and connects the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic oceans. The Centennial Park Pavilion serves as a tribute to the individuals who played a pivotal role in creating this monumental trail network.
Located at 355 Main Street North, it offers a variety of outdoor amenities for visitors. You can enjoy the well-designed Rotary Skate Park, suitable for skateboarding, bicycling, rollerblading, and scootering, with features suitable for all ages and skill levels. The Optimist Pump Park is a unique attraction, drawing riders from various locations to experience its hand-built looping trail system with berms and smooth rollers. The park also serves as the access point for the 2.4 kilometer O'Neil Trail and includes 16 soccer fields and a newly added hardball baseball diamond, making it a popular destination for sports and outdoor activities in the community.
Splash Pad
Located at 291 Brock Street West, beside the Uxbridge Arena, the Bonner Boys Splash Pad is the perfect oasis to beat the summer heat with your children. This refreshing spot not only offers a fun and safe splash pad for kids but also provides ample seating options, including a gazebo, making it an excellent place for a relaxing picnic. On hot summer days, families can cool off and enjoy quality time together at the Bonner Boys Splash Pad, creating lasting memories in the heart of Uxbridge.
