Yard clean up reminders, Summer is here!
Brush Collections are to be on the curb, loose in a container (just like single stream recycling pick up). Brown bags and bundles are NO LONGER ACCEPTED! Pro Tip: Shred leaves for excellent garden mulch (mow pile, shredder, mulching vacuum, weed wacker in can of leaves). Mow leaves right into lawn for excellent organic fertilizer. Ask your landscaper, it might be cheaper!

TerraCycle Learn how to Recycle Beyond the Blue Bin Contact Havswitch@gmail.com for PDF about recycling “beyond the blue bin” through our volunteer based Terracycle programs. Please follow directions on what is accepted in each program. Make sure packaging is as clean and dry as possible! We have drop off locations for oral care items, personal care items, brita filters, food pouches and caps, foil lined chip bags, writing utensils, scrap metal and more! Thanks for keeping these items out of our trash stream, local landfills and incinerators.

BRUSH: Branches (Less than 1 1/2“ in diam., less than 3 ft. long can have leaves and needles on them) Dried ornamental grasses, minimal loose leaves, minimal weeds. The Township NO LONGER ACCEPTS brush in paper bags. Any brush put out in paper bags or bundles will be picked up as trash ($$) and not composted!

Small E-Waste Collection Container!
New Service Available For Township Residents. 24 hours / 7 days a week. This container is for SMALL household electronic waste (think “no larger than a breadbox”) such as small appliances, electronics, Gaming systems or anything with a cord that can fit through the chuet.
TerraCycle offers free recycling funded by brands, manufacturers and retailres around the world to help collect and recycle hard-to-recycle waste. #Recycleeverything We will be collecting oral care items and personal care items in 2 bins, located just outside the front door of the township building. We are working with PAR - Recycleworks who also handles our larger scale E-Waste event and thy have committed to perform bi-weekly pickups (or as needed) at no additional cost to the Township. Please NO large items such as large appliances, microwaves, televisions, monitors, or air contitioners. The container is located in the parking lot of the Administration building and if our first is a success, we’ll look to open others around the Township.
