Memorial Park
Memorial Park on Myrtle Blvd offers a variety of activities and recreational opportunities for all ages. Four tennis courts are available (permit required – see page 21) to Town residents who would like to have a friendly game with a neighbor. Lessons are available (see page 22) for those who would like to learn the game or sharpen their skills. Please note: Attendant on duty daily May through September.

Memorial Park has a tot playground for 2 - 5 year olds and one for 5 - 12 year olds to enjoy. Both are surrounded by rubberized safety surfacing.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES UNDERNEATH THE MURRAY AVENUE BRIDGES
The blacktop has been re-surfaced underneath these 2 separate bridges to provide for a variety of activities. One bay provides a smooth surface and large area to be used as a tennis warm-up area. The other bay is designed with interactive children activities. This area includes a miniature track, shuffleboard, giant checkers and hopscotch. Equipment for these activities including volleyball net, pickleball equipment and game pieces for chess/checker tables may be borrowed from the on-duty attendant by leaving a Town of Mamaroneck Resident I.D. card or driver’s license.

The Town of Mamaroneck Senior Center operates under the auspices of the Town of Mamaroneck Community Services Office. The Center is located at 1288 W. Boston Post Road, Larchmont (VFW David Potts Jr. Post #1156).The Town of Mamaroneck Senior Center offers an engaging selection of social, educational and recreational programs for our members to choose from. The Center is open to seniors age 55 and over on weekdays year round. Most activities are free or have a nominal charge for participants. A monthly calendar of events and programs is available at the Senior Center and on the Town of Mamaroneck website at http://www.townofmamaroneckny.org/senior-center.
Membership
The Town of Mamaroneck Senior Center allows residents as well as non-residents to become members of the senior center. Those residing in the Town of Mamaroneck, Village of Larchmont & Village of Mamaroneck are considered residents. There is a required annual membership fee of $35 per person for residents and $50 for nonresidents. Annual membership at the senior center runs from January 1st- December 31st. Most activities are free with membership or have a nominal charge. Some programs, trips and special events have a fee for participants. Transportation to Senior Center
Curb to curb bus transportation to and from the center is available for senior residents living in the Town of Mamaroneck and the Villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck. This service is only provided if the bus can safely navigate through the street. This includes being able to turn around without the bus backing up. Passengers must be able to enter and exit the bus independently. Suggested contribution for bus transportation is $1 per day.

Trim and Tone Exercise
Day: Tuesday Time: 10:30 am Fee: FREE with Senior Center Membership This class is taught by Stephanie Hart and is designed to improve muscle, strength, range of movement and balance through exercises that utilize a chair for seated exercises and standing support.
Advanced Art Class
Day: Wednesday Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm Fee: $125/year
Please register at Senior Center. Art instructor, Pat Sutherland enters her 50th year teaching at the Town of Mamaroneck Senior Center. She is a professional artist that has exhibited her paintings in museums and galleries in the United States and abroad. She offers professional advice and instruction while students work on their personal art piece. Students must bring their own art supplies (acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel or charcoal) and have their own project in mind to work on. This class displays work at Annual Art Exhibit at Larchmont Library each spring.
Stay Strong & Fit Exercise
Day: Wednesday Time: 1:00pm & 2:00pm Fee: FREE with Senior Center Membership
Join our instructor John O’Connor, for an exercise program designed to improve agility, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and strength. This class is brought to us by the Mainstream Program and Westchester County Department of Senior Programs & Services.
Must be 55 years or older and a registered member of Senior Center to participate. Membership Fee is $35. All programs held at Senior Center, 1288 Boston Post Road Call 914-834-8840 for further information.
