M AYO R ’ S M E S S A G E Our 2024 Strategic Plan aims to provide a roadmap for the town’s growth and improvement over the next several years. With our picturesque lakeside location and thriving community spirit, we are ready to chart a course toward even greater success. We have developed a plan encompassing the critical focus areas for our town’s future by engaging residents, businesses, community organizations, and regional partners. One of the primary goals of our strategic plan is to enhance the quality of life for all residents. This includes investing in amenities, events, and infrastructure and promoting community and hometown charm through events and programs. By prioritizing these aspects, we aim to create an inclusive and vibrant community where residents can thrive and enjoy a high quality of life. Another important aspect of our strategic plan is economic development. We recognize the need to attract new businesses and commercial development to Little Elm, create job opportunities, and expand our tax base. By investing in infrastructure, promoting entrepreneurship, and fostering partnerships with local businesses, we aim to create a strong and diverse economy that benefits all residents. Public safety remains a priority in our strategic plan. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents by investing in adequate resources for our police and fire departments. This includes hiring and training additional personnel, improving emergency response times, and implementing community public safety initiatives to build trust and collaboration. Good financial stewardship is also important to us, and this plan helps us budget and use taxpayer dollars effectively and responsibly. We have identified key areas where we can make cost-saving measures and prioritize spending to ensure that taxpayer dollars are used efficiently and effectively.
