New Playground at Marx Park

We’re SO excited to have plans for a new playground at Marx Park to replace the wood structure that we’ve loved for so long. Working with our DPW, we hope to have this structure installed soon so please excuse our mess while we prepare the site. Several ideas have been considered and we know that you’re going to love the outcome!

Fourth of July Volunteers

For so many years, we’ve had an INCREDIBLE roster of volunteers that have made our Fourth of July Picnic & Parade run along smoothly. As the years mount, we need to supplement their years of experience with new blood, fresh ideas, and a willingness to put a few hours of fun work into keeping our event going into the future.

We’re desperately looking for individuals, families, civic groups, scouts, etc. to step forward and help us meet the ever-increasing numbers of people that come and enjoy our event. Please consider getting some of your friends and neighbors together to help out with this event. It’s worthwhile in so many ways and you can see the smiles that extra hands help bring to the special day. We LOVE our small-town event and want to keep it community And that means community involvement!

Contact the Park & Rec Department for more information, to volunteer, sponsor, or with exciting ideas to make the day fantastic for all!
