Bidder Registration Buyer numbers are necessary to purchase cattle in the sale. One buyer number can be used to purchase cattle in both sales. Buyers can preregister on-line at www.TownCreekFarm.com or register upon arrival at sale site. On-line bidders should register and receive buyer numbers from DV Auctions.
Supplement sheet available at sale time Supplement sheets for both the Commercial Bred Heifer Sale and Bull Sale will be available at registration/clerking office. Current scrotal measurements, updated or corrected information from this catalog and User Friendly bulls (see top of next column) will be provided on the Supplement Sheet. Heifer supplement sheet will provide additional heifer information including recent herd health activity and updated or corrected information from this catalog.
Sale Lot Ear Tags on Cattle
Ear tags on animals correspond to lot numbers listed in the sale catalog.
User Friendly Bulls
Certain bulls will be identified as UF (User Friendly) on the supplement sheet. Bulls selected as UF bulls have temperaments that appear to be docile under stressed or crowded conditions. UF identified bulls are highly recommended for single bull buyers who handle their bulls in confined areas. (While Town Creek Farm makes every attempt to properly identify these bulls and errs on the side of caution when making this determination, this signification is not a guarantee.)
Sale Order
Printed sale orders will be provided on sale day. Cattle will not sell in lot order. Sale cattle will not pass through an auction ring. An individual video of each bull lot (Lots 1-141) will appear on viewing screens as lot is sold. Top quality bulls will sell throughout entire sale. Commercial bred heifers will sell in groups of five (Âą) by consignor. Groups will appear on viewing screens as they are sold per supplement sheet. Buyers have option to roll two pens of heifers at established price as long as heifers are from the same consignor. After three pens, price is reestablished through the bidding process.
Cattle Loadout
Cattle may be loaded on Saturday, October 21, 2017, after 2 pm or Sunday, October 22, 2017.
Trucking
At the conclusion of the sale or as soon as possible after purchases are made, please inform sale clerk of your hauling instructions. Town Creek Farm will arrange trucking if needed. Town Creek Farm makes every effort to assist in coordinating reliable and economical trucking arrangements. Trucking expense is responsibility of the buyer.
