f you are a first-timer to Town Creek Farm, or considering Town Creek Farm genetics for the first-time, welcome and thank you. For those who are returning to Town Creek Farm or are long-time customers, we are humbled and grateful to have a hand in your genetic programs. It is so rewarding to see our genetics building great cowherds across the southern tier of the United States and in South America. For more than 30 years our genetic philosophy has been to produce pounds of beef in the right package and provide genetics that supply more pounds over a longer period of time. We’ve never wavered in the discipline it takes to stay the course to provide our customers with predictable and long-lasting genetics. Town Creek Farm openly shares an invaluable amount of subjective information with our customers. We have unwavering confidence in our complete and disciplined work. Through relentless selection pressure, our genetics propagate moderate frame size, increased fertility, strong maternal traits, and superior end-product. We currently have a set of steers on feed that are 100 percent Town Creek Farm genetics. Harvest results will further validate our genetics and their ability to perform and excel in carcass performance.

Providing a larger supply of “Heifer Bulls” will make it more comfortable for customers to select for calving ease without limiting selection pressure on other economically important traits. The 145 bulls represented in our sale offer some of the most complete Brangus alongside the most diverse Angus x Brahman genetic options in the industry. Listening to customers was a stimulus to start a program with a goal of developing large numbers of first-generation Brangus. Though we have not reached our end, our process allows us to provide a bull offering that includes a good number of bulls with varying percentages of Angus and Brahman (see pages 29-37). Our no-excuses, highly disciplined, maternal cow herd will give you bulls that sire long-lasting females and the right package with adequate growth and carcass traits. If you're looking for bulls to produce heifers as replacement heifers, there are no better bulls to do this job than the proven genetics of Town Creek Farm.
As much as we believe in numbers, there is much more to it. Traits such as function, efficiency, and longevity are not defined or communicated through our EPD systems. These are subjective traits. Longevity and fertility can only be discovered over the life of a female. Often things we can’t see provide great value. We have renewed commitment to producing a larger supply of calving ease genetics for our customers.
