Mini Pop-Up Landscape Book SUZANNE HAUERSTEIN

Create a mini accordion landscape book with pop-up elements and decorate a tin box to match. Participants will use card stock, recycled maps, and other paper ephemera to create the book which will fit inside the matching tin.

Experiments with Watercolors VICTORIA CHAPMAN

Explore how watercolors work and feel using a variety of brushes and different quantities of water. Experiment with mixing watercolors and other materials, such as salt and ink. At the end, you will try painting your own picture from life or imagination.

Chinese Brush Painting: Bamboo SAU-MEI LEUNG Bamboo, one of the "Four Gentlemen" (bamboo, orchid, plum blossom, and chrysanthemum), has features such as uprightness, tenacity, and modesty. Through demonstration and hands-on practice, participants will learn the Chinese brush methods of painting bamboo, as well as compositional development.

Participants will use air dry clay to create mushroom, succulent, and floral ornaments. They will learn to use watercolor paint to custom color their creations.

Therapeutic Horticulture Programs

Take deep breaths, slow down, and leave your “to do” list behind. Experience the therapeutic benefits of horticulture while creating seasonal arrangements. Feel calm and refreshed with positive energy by focusing on being in the moment and engaging each of your five senses one at a time – sight, touch, sound, smell, and taste – while interacting with sensory-rich plant materials.

The cornucopia, also called the horn of plenty, symbolizes abundance and nourishment. It is traditionally a hornshaped container overflowing with produce and flowers. You can choose to design your cornucopia with a rich variety of colorful and fragrant autumn flowers, berries, wheat, herbs, and ornamental grasses.

Explore a variety of evergreen branches including pine, cedar, balsam, fir, and juniper. Whimsical Holiday Earrings

Dazzle your holiday party guests with a brand-new pair of crystal earrings that incorporate traditional seasonal motifs in imaginative ways. Knowing what time of year to prune is key and it varies widely depending on the plant. This hands-on workshop series focuses on pruning essentials, including when and how to prune different plants.
