Tour Managers Fiji Tour Managers Fiji is a medium sized inbound tour operator that has been in existence for over 20 years. We are a fairly young, dynamic team which is 100% locally owned and continues to display strong growth. We began our existence from humble beginnings formerly based in a home garage with 1 vehicle and 3 staff members The journey from we were at to where we are now has taken determined focus and sacrifice. The founding member of Tour Managers Fiji - Managing Director Mr. Damend Gounder has been at the forefront of the company's growth and continues to be a pillar of strength for team members.

Tour Managers (Fiji) Ltd is under the guidance of Damend Gounder who has been in the Tourism industry since 1990. Has led the Recovering Program of Fiji Tourism after the events of May 2000 & reactivated in December 2006. The Tourism Action Group (TAG) has received widespread acclamation for its work under his chairmanship. Served as Chairman for Japan Asia Tour Operators Association (JATOC) and is currently the President for Society of Fiji Travel Associates (SOFTA). He also served on the Air Pacific Board of Directors for nine years.

Employment generation and opportunity for all Fijians has always been a focal point of emphasis for Tour Managers since its inception and it extends to the way in which staff drive the business with a passion to ensure that the jobs which the company creates is sustainable and best lasting impression to guests. We offer a wide range of exclusive services; facilities and value add products to FIT's, conferences, groups and incentive markets. Our fleet size is modest, but we work efficiently and safely moving close to 50,000 guests annually. Our drivers are nationally accredited and hand-picked based on specific criteria to ensure that their skill set matches the demands of the tourism industry. We have various tailor made half day and full day tours to offer guests who wish to explore different regions of Fiji.

In terms of pricing for our transfers & tours, we believe that we have a competitively priced tariff structure which provides guests with a price point which is affordable. We are always continually monitoring pricing for services in the market to ensure that our prices are in line with the consumer preferences but ultimately aligned with our strategies and business goals.

A repeat business strategy which TM is currently seeking to improve on as part of our internal objectives. The goal is to deliver consistent service across all facets of service for internal and external customers while rewiring the mindset of staff to become effective and engaged in their roles. Staff need to be purposeful in their actions towards delivering the best customer service.

Conveniently located on the arrivals concourse the fully air-conditioned “Bula Lounge” awaits with an ambience that reflects a true “Tropical Welcome” with a “unique” reception area for check-in, we are able to register guests firsthand. We have added a distinct touch to complement visitors experience by ensuring that serenaders are on standby to serenade our clients on arrival.

Each and every one of our customers is important to us and we meet each arrival in the arrival concourse. Our meet and greet service includes a name banner or placard, shell lei / fresh flower lei, chilled minted towels, refreshing welcome drink, customized Fiji Information Kits, portage followed by transport in our new and modern transport fleet. For conference and incentive groups, serenaders can be arranged.

The latest addition to our fleet is the classy, elegant & stylish stretch limousine. It features luxurious reclining massage seats, state of the art entertainment system with full concierge services for VIP transfers.

(For the Chinese market - operations staff are connected on a 24/7 basis to agents via a company we-chat platform which allows both our staff and agents to communicate effectively with clients when assistance is required

Our Presence on the International scene

With a surge of interest from the Indian and Chinese nationals for Fiji emerging due to the new route introduced by Fiji Airways to Hong Kong, we have now established our presence in mainland China, Hong Kong and India. Recently, Fiji Airways also launched its Singapore direct flight which has increased the connectivity between Fiji and the rest of Asia

The company has in January 2010 set up a Sales & Marketing Reps in Guangzhou, In 2014, additional representative agents were activated in Shenzhen and Shanghai. These efforts have now paid off in coordination with an established China team we have in Fiji and firm relations with Chinese Outbound travel partners. Increased growth in sales for China has continued to spear head our rapid expansion in the Asia markets. Some prominent agents with whom we work with are Tuniu com, Qulv com, C-Trip com, Meiya, CITS Zheijiang and CYTS Shanghai to name a few.

Tour Managers has steadily increased its growth in markets such as Taiwan Singapore and Malaysia in coordination with trusted partners. Regular visitation and communication between partners have yielded positive results.

India

Headed by Ms Alefiya Singh, Director of Sales & Marketing, based in Mumbai, the company has secured a number of contracts with key wholesalers in the Indian primary source market who are now utilizing Tour Managers for their up-market holiday itineraries in Fiji Some of the Bollywood celebrities that we have welcomed so far include the exMiss World, Priyanka Chopra and ex Miss Universe, Lara Datta, Singers Shan, Actress Amisha Patel, Actors Dino Morea and Kunal Kapoor.

Australia/New Zealand and United States

We have a small by strong base of travel partners from the United States and New Zealand who utilize our services for transportation and accommodation packaging. The long-term relationship which we have had with them continue to be a testament of strong emphasis we place in supporting our partners and providing the best service for their clients.

In Australia, we have several partners with we work with such as Lifestyle Holidays, Essence Tours, Omniche, Expedia, Viator, Excite Holidays. Luxury Escapes, Our Pacific and other related partners with whom we work with.

In operation since 2001 and has coordinated countless weddings to date. Paradise Bride is a wedding specialist and caters for every wedding requirement of prospective clients. The company operates and offers exclusive Dream Wedding Packages With experience they also have their own inventory of props and useful sets to satisfy client's needs. Part of their goal as a company is to provide exceptionally quick and accurate information on wedding arrangements that is stress free for their clients and value for money.

Yatule Resort & Spa, Natadola Beach

Earlier in 2015, Tour Managers secured management rights from Fiji National Provident Fund for Yatule Resort & Spa - located on beautiful Natadola Beach. The resort overseen by Mr. Gounder has flourished posting steady growth and occupancy levels of over 80% each month

Currently managing Sofitel Resort & Spa, The Pearl Resort, The Palms, Fiji Hideaway Resort, Landers Bay and Yatule Resort & Spa. Tour Managers is the exclusive provider of concierge and tour desk services to all their hotel guests Our well trained and friendly staff mans the desks from as early as 6.30am to 8.30pm. A more convenient way to book tours, excursions, activities, shows and off-site restaurants for all our guest

In-flight Interpreter Services

We have a contract to provide Chinese/Japanese language interpreter services on the Fiji Airways Nadi/Hong Kong and Japan flights. This includes preflight assistance at the Airports and Baggage Hall after arrival at Airports, translation and coordination of information for the airline as and when required We have been contracted with Fiji for the last 3 years and continue to provide professional service for all passengers. This service is temporality suspended until further notice due the pandemic situations in these countries

DG Investments Land Development.

Development of agricultural land for herbs and vegetables. The owner of the company, Mr. Damend Gounder, has a “green thumb” and a vision that far exceeds the limitations of our agricultural land in developing agricultural and horticultural business.

Community Support

The Directors of the company are dedicated contributors of the Tourism dollar to the community, most importantly to the unfortunate children. The Orphanage and Crippled Children’s school are recipients of numerous outings, help with schooling and annual entertainment event especially designed for them.

This standard & mandatory meet and greet service includes our airport team personally meeting your clients on arrival, carrying out exchange of documentation, detailed explanation of confirmed itinerary and attending to any queries your clients may have, offering you chilled water bottlers, shell lei necklace

OPTION 2 - Fiji classic welcome services

While this package is optional it is highly recommended. This meet and greet package include the standard mandatory package, fresh flower leis, chilled Fiji-made bottled water with the option of cool coconut drink and cold scented towel.

Spectacular half day escorted cultural tour

Visit some of Fiji’s most unusual and fantastic locales with this guided exploration of its traditional villages, botanical gardens, craft markets, and even a towering Hindu temple outside of Nadi. From your hotel, meet your guide and drive by rolling sugarcane fields and local villages to the historic town of Viseisei. The fabled site of the canoe landing of the first Melanesian people to arrive in Fiji, Viseisei is home to a traditional ceremonial bure hut and a small craft market After touring the village, set off for the Sleeping Giant Orchid Gardens, a vast botanical park that houses more than 2,000 varieties of orchids. Stroll along the canopied boardwalks, pass by stretches of landscaped lawns, and duck under branches in the rainforest as you admire the delicate flowers on display in this horticultural treasure. Next, make your way to the Sri Siva Subrahmaniya Swami Temple This colorful and ornate edifice is a prime example of Dravidian architecture and the largest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere. Then head to the town of Nadi, where you can spend time chatting with the locals and shopping for Fijian wares at the market before the return trip to your hotel.

Want to go on a fun tour that contributes to sustainability? Inspired by Fiji Airways’ Our Ocean, Our Life programme which champions the wonderful yet fragile marine ecosystem, this tour lets you experience a fascinating day planting mangroves and exploring a turtle breeding sanctuary Get picked up in your air-conditioned vehicle and head to a mangrove rehabilitation site where you will get your hands dirty and get the opportunity to plant mangrove seedlings. These coastal trees are the unsung heroes of the environment, sequestering four times more carbon than rainforests, creating a biodiverse ecosystem for fish, crustaceans, and a host of other marine species. A portion of profits is used to pay local village partners for harvesting and sustainable supply of mangrove seedlings. After a prolific morning saving our coastline, it’s time head to Kula Adventure Park for a behind the scenes private tour, exploring the Incubation Lab, the world’s largest Crested Iguana Captive Breeding Centre, as well as a hands-on visit to the Pool After wandering through our rainforest, the Marine Biologist will explain our conservation and education program for hawksbill sea turtles and mangrove

You get to help hand feed the sea turtles before you enter the land and sea building displaying live corals, tropical fish, several species of Fijian insects, moths and butterflies, shells, and freshwater fish After lunch (included in the tour), you can explore more of the adventure park before being dropped off at your hotel with a new appreciation for mangroves and our friendly turtles.

Tour operates Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Nadi / Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from Coast.

Explore the beautiful lagoon and beach of Natadola - considered one of Fiji's best beaches, which features pure white sand and perfect for Horse Riding Adventures. The private nature of the tour (just your group and a guide) allows for extra instruction and personalized tuition, making it safe for everyone, from absolute beginners to experienced riders These riding tours are ideal for families or riders with less experience looking for a day spent out at the beach. Ride prices are per person and the maximum weight limit for riders is 80kg The minimum age limit for a private beach ride is 7years old, unless the child has significant riding experience. Our well-trained horses are experienced on all our tracks and are well groomed.

Join your Tour Guide for a tour which takes you to the famous Sigatoka Sand Dunes – one of Fijis National Archaeological Heritage Site where you will begin your 30min trek up the dunes. Then it’s off to the traditional village of Nakabuta for a Kava ceremony, a demonstration of the thousandyear-old art of pottery making & a tour of the Village. The villagers will perform Traditional Fijian dances ‘meke‘. You will be given the chance to acquire genuine souvenirs before heading to Tavuni Hill Fort, known for its Tongan history Next stop is Sigatoka Town for shopping at grab some lunch at your own expenses. Included is the Entrance Fees. The tour returns to the resort after a shopping stop at the Coral Coast Town of Sigatoka

Nausori Highland Tour (Operates Monday-Saturday)

Half Day Highland Tour– Nausori Village (operates Mon-Sat in the mornings only) Min 2 Pax

Adventure inland into the remote highland village of Nausori. Leave from your Nadi hotel around 8.00am for the Nadi back road. From here, the drive then turns inland for a 30minute scenic ride over the hilly terrain past remote sugar farming settlements.

The drive continues over the ranges to your destination “Nausori Village”. It is customary that a small kava ceremony of welcome is performed upon arrival. When this is completed, you are then open to visit other areas of the village. Talk to them and witness for yourself how they cook, wash, plant, travel, etc during their normal day. During the school terms, you may, with prior arrangements, visit the village school. Though, sometimes shy, the school kids are always curious and looking forward to chatting with tourists. Very seldom do they come face to face with visitors’ particular white people, and so getting some information on your background, at firsthand, is interesting from their viewpoint. At the end of the village tour, the guide returns you to the hotel
