ATTRACTIONS The symbolic Pysanka is located at the Elks/Kinsmen Community Park. This breathtaking giant Ukrainian Easter Egg was built in 1974 as a monument to honor the RCMP and its long history of bringing peace and security to the area. Enjoy the unique collections at the Vegreville Regional Museum that showcase the community life of the area. It is also home of the Vegreville & District Sports Hall of Fame. Just steps away from the museum, you can take time to relax at the internationally recognized Rotary Peace Park. The Peace Grove of 12 trees is dedicated to promoting world peace through tourism and is a joint project of the County of Minburn and the Rotary Club of Vegreville. You can book this beautiful and serene park for your next family function. Nearby, along Highway 16, Our Lady of The Highway Shrine is the only one of its kind in Canada. Our Lady is beautifully sculpted from Italian white marble. Behind the monument are exquisitely marked stones displaying the Stations of the Cross in a tranquil park setting. The Knights of Columbus maintain this area for your enjoyment and reflection. The Town of Vegreville Aquatic and Fitness Centre offers something for everyone: swimming pool, a twister waterslide, whirlpool, sauna, fitness room, racquetball court, indoor ice arena, and a dance studio. Within walking distance, you will find the Lions Club Community Spray Park & Playground, a tennis court, and the Vegreville Agricultural Society Grounds.
