WHY AIR PURIFICATION

Air purifica�on is an efficient way of cleaning indoor air in a variety of se�ngs, no ma�er how large or small the area is.

HOW AIR PURIFICATION WORKS

Have you ever no�ced how fresh the air smells a�er a good thunderstorm with lots of lightning? Well, nature has a way of purifying the air we breathe through complex chemistry involving plasma and ions.

Using thunderstorms as an example, the ionized molecules present in the air actually conduct electricity and react with other gases at a molecular level, air pollutants and dust par�cles and removes them from the air we breathe.

SONA Technology works the same way. As air passes over the SONA Plasma Cells, oxygen molecules are added with electron(s) and become nega�vely charged. Nega�vely charged oxygen molecules are very unstable by nature and as soon as they collide with another molecule, they transfer extra electron(s) to the collided molecule and break the chemical chain of a contaminated structure.

Nega�vely charged oxygen molecules are also instrumental in cleaning the air of various pollutants by means of oxida�on by deac�va�ng the surface membranes of bacteria and viruses. Nega�vely charged oxygen molecules can also cling to posi�vely charged ma�ers such as par�culate ma�er (dust), crea�ng a cluster where the par�culates increase in size and weight. The newly formed cluster of dust eventually becomes large and heavy enough that it falls out of the air and is trapped in your HVAC system’s filter.

Healthy Spaces is a cer�fica�on service offered by Healthy Living – Today. The focus of the cer�fica�on is to improve the health condi�ons of spaces and to ul�mately improve the overall quality of people’s lives.

The focus of the program centers around five areas: air, water, surfaces and building materials, specialized design and best prac�ces.

Breathe the purest AIR. Our healthy air pillar focuses on understanding the air quality in your space. Advanced air quality measuring devices are used to obtain real-�me air quality data of your space. One example parameter includes capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) informa�on, allowing for be�er understanding air flow and air circula�on in the space. Having too much carbon dioxide in your space can result in symptoms related to poor concentra�on, lack of energy and �redness.

Drink the cleanest WATER. Our healthy water looks at understanding the water quality of the drinking water of your space. An instrument is used to obtain water quality samples, comparing to benchmark standards for safe drinking water.

Interact with the cleanest, safest SURFACES & MATERIALS. Surface and Building Materials focuses on using the best materials possible and the best tools to disinfect your surfaces. An example feature includes a 24/7 surface disinfec�on unit, capable of disinfec�ng surfaces from harmful bacteria.

SPECIALIZED DESIGN Improve your overall health. Specialized design looks at design features in your space, contribu�ng to a healthy environment. An example feature includes touchless light switches and touchless faucets. Touchless systems help avoid the spread of harmful bacteria and viruses.
