Network Design Assignment on Project Estimation Description of Project Scope The scope of the project discussed in this network design assignment is of great help to the organization in their endeavor for designing and execution of a comprehensive and advanced network design system. describes the network designed as per the requirements of the company.

The report describes in detail the various arrangements within the network design. This includes switches, hub details, router configuration etc. additionally, the report consists of the estimated financial plan to execute the network design, configure access points and servers.

As per the requirement of this project, advance network design needs to be utilized for organising the network structure. The structure should consist of IPv6 for the 2 branches namely A and B while branch C has IPv4 configured. In addition to branches A and B, headquarters will also have IPv6 configuration. There is no window of extension to this project to avoid this cost. A further restriction is on the project budget as well as the

established timelines. All these steps must be executed as per the plan. All the planning needs to be done carefully before the start of the execution so that any changes during the execution process is prevented.

d) Design Justification The routing protocol used for the networking design of the organization is OSPF, acronym for Open Shortest Path First. This protocol has various benefits and is the most efficient and effective routing protocol, given the nature of network design [1]. The next advantage that OSPF network provides is in the rapidness in transferring changes within the router to transform it entirely into an independent and a new system. This helps in improvement of network performance. In terms of potential, the OSFF protocol supports the implementation of many network scaling with the maximum possibility of a thousand units. The other property of this routing protocol is that it is free from any loop and network security is subjected to high performance and improved security [2]. This feature enables the conditions required for the execution of interface faced md5 and endorsements of everyday texts. The network overheads are reduced

to a level which is necessary for an effective network design and ensuring that the interferences are maintained.

As detailed in this network design assignment, the dual-stack mechanism is part of the network design and all the branches have been designed for the application of IPv6 and IPv4 protocols [3]. This report provides all the details required for setting up of the network configuration and installation of the devices. The system performances have been given due importance along with its security using OSPF routing protocol. The three branches in the organization have been linked with IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. Offices A and B are connected to IPv6 while the third branch C has IPv4 connection.

The headquarter and all the three branches are connected securely and can communicate with the help of dual-stack mechanism.

The estimated financial cost for the project completion as well as the timeline sets up for the network design, and implementation is also detailed in the report. This will ensure monitor the progress against the schedule.
