Torrevieja, in Norway From 13th to 15th January, Torrevieja will take part in the ‘Reiselivsmesse’ Tourism Fair in Oslo (Norway), with its own information stand, subsidised by the Valencian Tourism Agency. The councillor for Tourism, Fanny Serrano, stated there was a high demand of information about Torrevieja in the last editions of this fair, visited by over 40,000 people last year.

Two men killed in a fire Two men from Lithuania and Belarus, aged about 50, were killed in a fire in the early morning of 1st January at the home they occupied at La Torreta II urbanisation, lit with candles. Another man and one woman, partner of one of the deceased men, sustained minor injuries. Seemingly, the house was in poor conditions and was full of abandoned items.

Street market, to be relocated before Easter The weekly street market of Torrevieja will be moved to the Antonio Soria Park area before Easter, councillor Javier Manzanares announced. Bus line C will include a stop in the new market area, where two taxi stops and a large parking area will also be enabled. On the other hand, Sueña Torrevieja local party requests more buses to the market area, as they regard line C will be not enough for the high number of people who go to the market by bus. página 18
