հուրդ մըն է. բայց ես կը խօսիմ Քրիստոսի եւ եկեղեցիին մասին: Սակայն ձեզմէ իւրաքանչիւրը թող սիրէ իր կինը այնպէս՝ ինչպէս ինքզինք, ու կինը թող ակնածի իր ամուսինէն: ՂՈՒԿԱՍԻ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 8.49-56 Երբ ինք դեռ կը խօսէր, ժողովարանի պետին տունէն մէկը եկաւ եւ ըսաւ. «Աղջիկդ մեռաւ, ա՛լ մի՛ անհանգստացներ վարդապետը»: Բայց երբ Յիսուս լսեց ասիկա՝ ըսաւ անոր. «Մի՛ վախնար, միա՛յն հաւատա, ու պիտի ապրի»: Երբ տունը մըտաւ, ո՛չ մէկուն թոյլ տուաւ որ մտնէ, բայց միայն՝ Պետրոսի, Յակոբոսի ու Յովհաննէսի, եւ աղջիկին հօր ու մօր: Բոլորն ալ կու լային եւ կը հեծեծէին անոր վրայ. բայց ինք ըսաւ. «Մի՛ լաք. ան մեռած չէ, հապա կը քնանայ»: Անոնք ալ զինք ծաղրեցին, քանի գիտէին թէ մեռաւ: Իսկ ինք բոլորն ալ դուրս հանելով՝ բռնեց անոր ձեռքէն, ու գոչեց՝ ըսելով. «Աղջի՛կ, ոտքի՛ ելիր»: Անոր հոգին վերադարձաւ, եւ ան անմի՛ջապէս կանգնեցաւ: Յիսուս հրամայեց՝ որ անոր ուտելիք տան: 56Անոր ծնողները զմայլած մնացին, եւ ինք պատուիրեց անոնց՝ որ պատահածը ո՛չ մէկուն ըսեն: EPHESIANS 5.15-33 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head 4

of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing b her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” c This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

LUKE 8.49-56 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”

Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother.

Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”

They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.

Փիլիպպոս առաքեալներու յիշատակը կը տօնէ Յիսնակի պահոց բարեկենդանին նախորդող Շաբաթ օրը, այս տարի Նոյեմբեր 14-ին: ԱՆԴՐԻԱՍ ԱՌԱՔԵԱԼ Ծնած է Բեթսայիդա, Գալիլիա եւ Ս. Պետրոս առաքեալի կրտսեր եղբայրն էր: Ինքն ալ ձկնորս էր եւ նախապէս աշակերտած է Յովհաննէս Մկրտիչին։ Յիսուսին առաջին ծանօթ հետեւողը եղած ըլլալուն համար կոչուած է նախակոչ առաքեալ։ Ըստ աւանդութեան, եղած է քարոզիչ Սկիւտիա եւ հիւսիսային Յունաստան։ Նահատակուած է Յունաստան` խաչի մահուամբ։ Ռուս ուղղափառ, Սկովտիոյ եկեղեցին եւ յոյներու տիեզերական պատրիարքութիւնը զայն կը նկատեն իրենց պաhապան սուրբը: ՓԻԼԻՊՊՈՍ ԱՌԱՔԵԱԼ Առաջին կանչուած առաքեալներէն մէկն է։ Հաւանաբար ինքն ալ աշակերտած է Յովհաննէս Մկրտիչին եւ ապա հետեւած Յիսուսին։ Փիլիպպոս շատ անգամներ յիշուած է Յովհաննէսի Աւետարանին մէջ, առհասարակ Անդրիասի հետ միասին։ Աւանդութիւնը կ՛ըսէ, որ քարոզած է Փոքըր Ասիա եւ նահատակուած խաչելութեամբ` Հերապոլիս քաղաքը։ 6

THE HOLY APOSTOLS ANDREW AND PHILIP On Saturday November 14, the Armenian church is celebrating two Holy Apostols of our Lord Jesus Christ, Andrew and Philip.

ST. ANDREW St. Andrew the Apostle was born in Bethsaida of Gelilee (John 1:44).

He was the brother of Simon (Peter) and both were fisherman. Before becoming Christ's desciple of St. John the Baptist. He accepted John the Baptist's testimony about Jesus and told Peter about Christ. The gospel of John shows, that during the miraculous feeding of five thousand, it was Andrew who asked: ' “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” (John 6:9).

Following the Ascension of our Lord and the descent of the Holy Spirit Apostle Andrew has preached in Northern Greece and Scythe. Apostle Andrew was eager to bring others to Christ. St. Andrew is honoured as their patron saint by the churchches of Russia, Greece and Scotland.

ST. PHILIP Apostle Phillip was from the town Bethsaida and was a fisherman.

Perhaps he also has been the disciple of St. John the Baptist. He told Bartholomew (Nathaniel) about Jesus. He had a questioning attitude and wondered how Jesus could feed the 5,000. IN the Bible, Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father' (John 14:8–9).

He has preached in Asia Minor. Apostle Philip has been martyred and crucified in the town Heliople.

DID YOU KNOW ?.............

The names of both Apostles Andrew and Phillip have Greek origins.

'Andrew' means manly, brave in Greek; and the name Phillip (Philippos) means "friend of horses or one who loves horses".

ԳԻՏԷ՞ԻՐ ԹԷ ................ Աւանդութեան համաձայն Ս. Անդրեաս առաքեալը խաչուած է լատինական X տառի ձեւով խաչի մը վրայ, որը յայտնի է «Սուրբ Անդրեասի խաչ» անունով: Անոր չէին գամած խաչին, այլ պարանով կապած էին ձեռքերն ու ոտքերը, որպէսզի աւելի երկար չարչարուի: DID YOU KNOW?........

It is generally agreed that St. Andrew the Apostle was crucified by order of the Roman Governor, Aegeas or Aegeates, at Patrae. He was not nailed, but was bound to the cross by ropes, in order to prolong his sufferings. The cross on which he suffered was in the shape of Latin letter 'X 'and is commonly known as St. Andrew's cross.

A coalition of 20+ Armenian churches, organizations, associations, political parties, and independent community leaders announce the formation of the United Armenian Council of Ontario (UACO), established on Sunday, October 11, 2020. UACO builds upon crosscommunity collaboration that has taken shape across the province over the past several years, especially since the centennial commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.

Now, at a time when our Armenian nation faces its biggest existential threat since the Genocide, Armenians around the world have come together to stand up for the survival of our people and our two Republics – Armenia and Artsakh. It is with this spirit that we announce the formation of UACO. On September 27, after Azerbaijan launched the war against Artsakh, the Armenian community of Ontario immediately mobilized across all fronts: securing humanitarian aid, fundraising, and raising awareness on social, political, and academic stages. UACO will enable the coordination of all activities in Ontario related to the war in Artsakh – coming together as one to ensure the survival of our people through peaceful means.

Broadly, the UACO’s mission will be to: • implement and realize projects of a pan-community nature, • encourage and assist projects which advance the collective interests and the rights of Armenian communities across Ontario, and • gather and apply the Armenian community’s resources for the benefit of the community’s interests as well as the welfare of the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh.

As we all know, unity is strength. The more we speak in one voice, the more powerful we become as a global nation. Together, we will ensure that what is just - human rights and the rights of the people of Artsakh - will prevail. Together, we will be victorious.

OUR CHURCH HAS REOPENED Dear faithful, It is with a heart full of spiritual happiness we announce that based on the decision of Mr. Doug Ford, Ontario Premier, and the blessings of H.E. Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Canada, Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church reopened its doors to the faithful on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

The church will be open for prayers and visits every: Sunday for Divine Liturgy, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, prayers for the recovery of those who are ill. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, during the church office hours, for private prayers and lighting of candles.

All those who visit the church must wear a face mask. Please bring your own to help ensure supplies last.

A designated person will record the names of the visitors and escort them to their assigned seat.

The collection tray will not be passed but rather placed in the Church lobby, where people can make their offering on their way out.

All those in high risk groups are strongly urged to stay home.

You cannot enter the Church if any of the following applies to you: 1. a family member or anybody in your immediate surrounding has any of the symptoms listed below or has tested positive for Covid-19; 2. have fever; 3. have a cough; 4. have a sore throat; 5. have loss of taste or smell; 6. traveled outside the province of Ontario APPRECIATION We extend our thanks to the deacons and the members of the church choir, who voluntarily participated in the ceremonies during these difficult times and to you, dear faithful, for your patience, prayers and your donations to support the mission of our Church.

ՈՒՇԱԴՐՈՒԹԻՒՆ Ձեր ուշադրութիւնը կ'ուզենք հրաւիրել հետեւեալ կարեւոր կէտերուն. Նահանգային կառավարութեան առած որոշումին համաձայն, առայժմ մենք արարողութիւններուն պիտի կարենանք սահմանափակ թիւով հաւատացեալներ ընդունիլ, ապահովութեան բոլոր միջոցները կիրառելու համար, 6 ոտք հեռաւորութիւն պահելով։ Ընտանիքներ, որոնք նոյն յարկին տակ կը բնակին, կրնան միասին նստիլ, բայց իւրաքանչիւր անձ իբրեւ առանձին թիւ պիտի նկատուի հաշիւին մէջ։ Ձեռնուիլ եւ փաթթուիլ պէտք չէ ըլլայ։ Բոլոր անոնք որոնք եկեղեցի կ'այցելեն, պարտին դիմակ կրել։ Հաճեցէք միշտ ձեր անձնական դիմակները հայթայթել։ Նշանակուած անձ մը ձեր անունները պիտի արձանագրէ եւ ձեր տեղերը առաջնորդէ։ Պատարագի դրամահաւաքի պնակը չպիտի դարձուի, այլ պիտի դրուի եկեղեցւոյ նախասրահի մէջ, ուր ելլած ատէն պիտի կարենաք ձեր նուէրները դնել։ ԶԳՈՒՇԱՑՈՒՄ Բոլոր այն անձերը որոնք հիւանդանալու բարձր կարելիութիւն ունին նախընտրելի է որ տունը մնան։ Եկեղեցի չէք կրնար մտնել եթէ հետեւեալ կէտերէն որեւէ մէկը կը կիրարկուի.

1. ձեր անմիջական շրջանակին կամ ընտանիքին մէջ ոեւէ մէկը վարակուած է Գովիտ-19-ով եւ կամ ունին հետեւեալ ախտանշանները՝ 2. ջերմութիւն, 3. հազ, 4. կոկորդի ցաւ, 5. հոտառութեան կամ համի զգալի պակաս, 6. Օնթարիօ նահանգէն դուրս ճամբորդած էք։

ԳՆԱՀԱՏԱՆՔ Շնորհակալութիւն կը յայտնենք Բարեշնորհ սարկաւագներուն եւ դպիրներուն, այս ընթացքին արարողութիւններուն իրենց սիրայօժար մասնակցութեան համար, ինչպէս նաեւ ձեզի, սիրելի հաւատացեալներ, այս դժուարին օրերուն ձեր համբերութեան, աղօթքներուն եւ եկեղեցւոյս առաքելութեան ի նպաստ ձեր կատարած սրտաբուխ նուիրատուութիւններուն համար: Շարունակենք մեր աղօթքներուն մէջ յիշել համավարակի պատճառաւ անցեալին եւ այսօր տառապանքի ենթարկուածները եւ բոլոր անոնք, որոնք իրենց անձնուրաց ծառայութիւնը կը շարունակեն բերել այս դժուարին շրջանին: Յառաջիկայ փոփոխութիւններու պարագային գրաւոր կերպով ձեզ տեղեակ կը պահենք։
