Tormead School House Sports Day 2024 Information Pack House Sports Day 2024 Information Pack
Welcome
It is a pleasure to welcome all athletes, staff and families to our House Sports Day 2024. With this being my first experience of House Sports, I am truly excited to see the sports community come together and look forward to seeing the many examples of camaraderie, skill and sportsmanship throughout the day.
I believe this is our biggest House Sports Day ever with competitions running across 10 sports. This exemplifies the growth of sport and physical activity at Tormead, as well as the passion and engagement of our sportswomen.
This day wouldn’t be possible without the P.E. Department, and I am so grateful for their hard work in ensuring all pupils have a positive experience. I would like to take this opportunity to also thank the Tormead staff who will be supporting the various events and to all families who have come to offer their encouragement.
Welcome to Tormead Sports Day 2022. We have a full programme of athletics events scheduled and there will be opportunities for every pupil to compete in team or individual runs, jumps and throws. It is also an opportunity for our most gifted and talented athletes to shine and inspire all of us. We are delighted to see visiting parents and supporters and would encourage you to soak up the atmosphere. Thank you for your support for sport throughout the year.
Finally, I wish all performers the best of luck! I know everyone will give their all and may the best House win!

Additional Information
Lunch
A packed lunch will be provided for all pupils who usually have school lunch. Please note that we will be operating a staggered lunch service and pupils should only take lunch when their year group and House has been invited to do so by Mr Pettitt.
Lunch will be served from the Terrace outside the pavillion/coffee shop. In the event of wet weather, lunch will be served and eaten in Arena A.
Pupils with dietary requirements will be called for lunch first. The coffee shop is out of bounds to all pupils, including Sixth Form.
Mobile Phones
Our usual school mobile phone policy applies during the event. Years 7 to 11 should not be using their devices at any point unless permission is granted by a member of staff. Sixth Formers may use their phones at break times but must do so appropriately.
Pupils who do not follow this will have their phones confiscated.

If you are in an emergency and cannot locate a member of staff, please call 07908 705840. This will take you to Main Reception at Tormead School and they will direct your call to a member of staff.
