A design proposal for a two-story Pool-House-Suite to accompany an existing 4-bedroom Colonial style home in Atlanta, Georgia. The design seamlessly blends white brick and hip/gable roof forms of traditional colonial architecture, while introducing modern materials and a unique junction of spaces- resulting in a captivating and innovative design
The multifunctional structure features a 2-car garage, a covered porch with a corner bar by the pool, and a second-floor guest suite with a bedroom, bathroom, living area, and small kitchen overlooking the backyard. It addresses the client's request for more parking, a guest bedroom, and shaded poolside entertainment. The porch design seamlessly extends the backyard patio, offering a shaded space for gatherings. Folding windows create a fluid indoor/outdoor experience, and the bar area provides countertop seating and access to a kitchenette for refreshments
Located on a 1 011-acre hilly lot in Buckhead, this R3-Residential property with R2 zoning required strict adherence to building regulations. To obtain a permit for the “detached dwelling unit,” the design had to meet setback requirements, height limitations, lot coverage percentages, parking regulations, and guidelines for accessory structures, landscaping, and buffering.
The addition respects 10' setbacks from the site boundaries, with the garage side angling north to align with the driveway’s contour The pool-facing side runs perpendicular to the existing house and is centered on the pool. This unique angled footprint creates distinct zones, allowing guests to enjoy the multifunctional structure while naturally separating the garage, guest suite, and entertainment spaces.
FIRST FLOOR
SECOND FLOOR
2-car garage- driveway entry
poolside entertaining space- covered porch, corner bar, pool supply storage
guest suite- queen bed, bathroom, closet, kitchen, living + dining space
The kitchen and dining space were designed to highlight the pool view and natural light from the south Neutral colors and subtle patterns were chosen to keep the focus on the surrounding beauty, enhancing the connection to the outdoors without distraction.
Taking advantage of the privacy provided by the sloped site and dense tree canopy, the secondfloor bathroom features a large French steel window with mirrors suspended in front, creating an elegant and open design while maintaining seclusion.
The second floor transforms a small footprint into an efficient use of space with vaulted ceilings and a comfortable open-plan living space Pops of green and natural stone materials tie into the surrounding trees

Hospitality Design
A comprehensive design for a 30-floor luxury hotel & spa located in Tokyo, created in collaboration with three other students The project delivers a serene and biophilic luxury hospitality experience that seamlessly blends traditional Japanese details with organic forms and colors
Floors 1-4
Rooms & Suites
Floors 1-4 feature public spaces including retail shops, botanical gardens, restaurants, and a luxurious spa, while the rooms and suites are housed in a circular tower crowned by an exclusive club and restaurant The design, inspired by the concepts of Serenity, Balance, Intricacy, Form, and Biophilia, blends nature and luxury for a tranquil experience
Curved walls and circular elements, mirroring the tower’s circular plan, became a central design focus. This emphasis on curvature, combined with luxury and functionality, allowed us to incorporate natural elements and materials, seen in features like the lobby ponds, the cave-like spa design, and the botanical gardens
RECEPTION RETAIL HALLWAYS/LOUNGEAREAS RECEPTION OFFICES WORKCAFE/COFFEESHOP BACKOFHOUSE BATHROOMS TERRAMARE BAR/CIGARLOUNGE
The menu features quintessential ingredients from both regions, merging the richness of their culinary traditions to cater to diverse guest preferences.
Located on the first floor of the Shinjuku Hotel, Terra Mare Mediterranean Restaurant offers a refined dining experience that blends Mediterranean materials and colors with the simplicity and precision of Japanese design Open to the public, the restaurant features diverse seating options, including booths, table tops, and outdoor seating. Plaster walls create inset coves for more intimate dining experiences, enhancing privacy and comfort.
The circular contours of the design create a seamless transition between the Mediterranean restaurant and rest of the lobby. A shared wall joins the restaurant’s bar with the bar area off the lobby lounge and the cigar lounge, where employees can easily navigate both sides. Although acoustically and functionally separated, the two sides share outdoor space and similar furniture/window types which creates a cohesive environment.
Internship - Office-Related
Summer 2023
During an internship with Peter Block Architects, I completed a full Permit Set of architectural drawings for a residential remodel project located in Auburn, Alabama.
The remodel included a reconfiguration and material upgrade for a Primary Bedroom, Bathroom, and “Sleeping Porch”. The permit set was approved in 2023 and was the first design of mine to be signed by an architect!

A design proposal for an entire City Block of Downtown Athens, marked by Hull, Clayton, Lumpkin, and Washington St created in collaboration with 4 others Individually, I designed a Multipurpose Commercial "retail" building located next to the main entrance (east side) of our site.
SUN PATH & WIND
TRAFFIC PATTERNS
SLOPE
The Morton Theater and GA Theater were the only two existing structures required to remain unchanged in the project. We wanted to create a central courtyard between them to serve as a hub for community interaction.
Our proposal for the Athens City Market reconnects visitors with nature in an urban setting through its central lawn, greenhouse, and ivy-covered arches at all entrances. Nestled between two iconic theatres, the market pays homage to the city's rich cultural heritage, encouraging engagement and inspiration in the heart of downtown. The market offers cozy cafes, boutiques, restaurants, and an outdoor stage for live music, fostering a thriving environment for local businesses. Surrounded by retail shops and dining spaces, the central lawn provides a safe and vibrant space for dining, concerts, and relaxation.
&RESTAURANT
RESTAURANT &LOUNGE
SMALL RETAIL
Located at the corner of Lumpkin and Washington St, my proposed two-story multifunctional restaurant functions as a cafe and coffee bar by day and a dinner establishment by night. With outdoor seating on both levels overlooking the central green space, the design emphasizes natural light and greenery, enhancing its connection to the courtyard. Offering both dine-in and “to-go” options, the space includes a study/lounge area for students and professionals. It provides a convenient spot for University of Georgia students during the day and a dining option for GA Theater patrons at night
The floor plan includes a Cafe on one side and Restaurant on the other side of the structure; both served by a shared central kitchen with doors out to the bakery, to-go counter, and restaurant. Functionality drives the design, with strategically placed staircases, elevators, and bathrooms on each side. It adheres to occupancy load calculations and standards for commercial spaces. A dumbwaiter connects the kitchen to the second floor, enabling efficient service across the multifunctional space, ensuring smooth operations for staff and a positive experience for guests
The second floor continues the dual purposed design with a study lounge on one side, and a continuation of the restaurant on the other With a direct view of the site's central courtyard, this floor prioritizes a larger outdoor patio for restaurant dining and entertainment space. The study lounge offers a variety of group spaces and private phone rooms with a glass enclosed patiobecoming a modern solution to separating the work lounge and restaurant seating, while still providing the natural light and views.

Designed a 12,000sq ft research and development hub for a tech company called NEXT for the 2022 Steelcase NEXT Design Competition Located on the 6th floor at 101 Seaport Blvd, Boston, MA, the design provides functional spaces for each element of the design program and incorporates furnishings from the Steelcase Next design catalog.
Suite 600 of the office building, the 12,000 sq. ft. space is designed for 42 employees across three teams: Design, Engineering, and Product Management/Development. The building features interior drywall core walls, concrete floors, and Mechoshades on exterior glazing for sun control. Areas not in contract (NIC), such as existing corridor doors, exterior glass, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, shafts, and columns, are preserved as is

The design prioritizes functionality by organizing workstations around team spaces, with hybrid privacy solutions using curtains. Each team space is strategically placed near phone rooms, project rooms, the meeting room, and has direct access to both workstations and social areas
The plan balances individual and group spaces, incorporating state-of-the-art technology, acoustical systems, and lighting to enhance the user experience
Maximizing natural light and incorporating industrial elements are key aspects of the design. An interior curtain wall system with iron mullions allows light to flow between spaces, while acoustical and blackout curtains provide flexible separation between team areas and workstations. Exposed ductwork, natural brick, wood materials, concrete tile floors, and a neutral color palette achieve an industrial aesthetic that complements the open and light-filled environment.

A design solution for a client’s request to turn a spare closet into a bunk room at their house on Lake Oconee. This project became the first constructed project of mine, where I can compare before and after photos.
Despite the limited space in a 10' x 13' room with a wall bump-out for a water heater, I designed a layout that accommodates two sets of bunk beds one Full and one Twin XL The modern design solution integrates seamlessly with the rest of the house, maximizing functionality while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic

Designed a 1900sq.ft. two-story Spec house located in Bend, Oregon, where temperatures range from 33 to 60°F. With a second floor view of the Deschutes River, public spaces are located above, and private rooms are below
Exterior elements include white board-and-batten siding, a gable metal roof, and a wraparound front porch. Solar panels on the south-facing roof maximize energy efficiency, while a cantilevered appendage enhances natural light inside and expands the roof overhang. A private porch above the garage offers outdoor space off the second floor. The design blends natural materials, rustic wood, and neutral tones with dark industrial metals to create a modern yet charming home.
The home sits on a 3’ sloped lot across from the Deschutes River, giving the second story a scenic view. I organized the floorplan with private spaces on the lower level and public spaces above to maximize the river views in the most frequently used areas.
The design emphasizes aesthetics, circulation, and eco-friendliness, immersing occupants in Bend's natural beauty. A grand two-story entrance with a spiral staircase leads to an open-concept kitchen, living room, and dining room, featuring high ceilings and large colonial windows that flood the space with natural light and river views. An attached garage and a second staircase provide easy circulation throughout the home.

Designed a 30' x 60' warehouse-style building for a client who's an artist and interior designer in a family of three. The first floor includes an office and gallery space combination and a residential living area is located above
ENTRANCE/KITCHEN/DINING
The intent behind this project was to maintain the industrial style of the warehouse while providing a functional arrangement of spaces that the family could work and live in. Two different entrances allow the family to leave/enter without going through the gallery, and for clients to leave/enter a professional work environment without seeing the living quarters of the family. Interior glass windows allow people in the gallery to see modern design elements such as a floating staircase and a two story volume of space.
