Arts and Sciences Learning Resources Newsletter Campbell University/Johnston Community College Robotics Competition was Saturday and Sunday, March 12 & 13th. Your colleagues, Lance Gooden, Dr. Katherine Stevenson-Chavis, Aaron Brickman, Brian Worley, Maxie Kirby, Kenny Duncan, Dwight Barnes, Robert Long and Sherman Mumford and our AWESOME JCC student coaches, Justin Todman and Adrian Wierzbinski did a great job with there NC FIRST Robotics Competition. As the Wake County District Rookie All Star team we received an automatic bid to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in Charlotte on April 11, 2016. The team was up against two other teams that weekend for the title of NC Rookie All Star. They did not bring home that award but we have next year. The team deserve a HUGE round of applause for their tireless commitment during this process.

JCC Family Science Discovery Day Saturday April 23, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm Howell Woods The ASLR/Biotechnology Departments will host a Family Science Discovery Day that includes interactive science displays and hands-on activities designed to stimulate science discovery and exploration for all ages. Engineering Robotics team will also have “CODI” our JOCO ROBO robot. Other displays explore human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, physical science and plant biology.
