Hallands Väderö - a gem perfect for day trips Hallands Väderö is a mini-Sweden. Complete with sandy beaches, bare rocks, ancient oaks, windy moors and majestic beech forests. The Danish queen Dagmar (1186-1212), turned to Saint Thora for help as she was in childbirth. All went well, and Dagmar gave Väderön as a gift to the church in Torekov. When big parts of Skåne was deforested for firewood to Danish castles, the island was saved. We have her to thank for this unique nature. Make a daytrip to Väderön.
