15TH August Independence Day Celebration Introduction of IndependenceIndependence day is celebrated every year on 15th August. We became independent in the year 1947. Before independence British rule all over India. On this day we have got freedom from Britishers. So, every year we celebrate this day as independence day. The battle was driven from Indian National Congress (INC) and other political and non-political persons who compelled with Britishers to free India from almost 200 years of slavery. On 15th August 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was honored and became the first Prime Minister of Independent India. On that day in 1947, he raises our National Flag over Lahori Gate at Red Fort in Delhi. After that, in the same way, every year on the same date flag hoisting is done by the Prime Minister of India from the same platform where the First Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru raises the flag in the year 1947. On this day Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru delivered the Tryst With Destiny proclaiming India’s Independence. Great Legends and freedom fighters sacrificed their lives in the war against the British rulers who ruled in India for about 200 years. How Independence Day is celebrated?On this day National Holiday is granted all over India. Not only in Delhi but almost every state headquarters, schools, government offices raises National Flag and sings National Anthem written by Rabindranath Tagore and engrave the feeling of patriotism. On this eve, the Prime Minister delivers a speech in which he presents the aim of looking forward of Government Agenda of developing India. It is celebrated in the capital of India with big enthusiasm. However, it is celebrated in schools, colleges, government offices and other educational institutions by society. Independence Day Celebration in Delhi On Fifteenth of August, Prime Minister hoists National Flag at the historical site Red Fort. A twenty- one firearm shots are discharged to salute the grand event at Red Fort. Prime Minister delivers a speech and highlights the past year achievements, raises important issues and call for the future development process. The National song ‘Jana Mana Gana’ is sung by all the Indian at the time of Flag Hosting. March past is done by the divisions of Indian Armed Force and military forces.
