DAY 2 REYKJAVIK. Time to tick off those bucket list items, one Insta-worthy photo at a time. First up: the Blue Lagoon – a lunar-like geothermal pool surrounded by freakishly awesome natural landscapes. Swim, relax, explore and be generally awed by the surrounds, made awesome by the eery steam hovering above the aquamarine water. As if life couldn’t get any better, wait ‘til tonight. Enter: the Northern Lights. Visibility isn’t guaranteed but if you do happen to score that shot, you’ll score bragging rights for life. (B) DAY 3 REYKJAVIK. Today we swap hot springs for skyscrapers with a free day in über-cool Reykjavik. If you're all about the great outdoors, be sure to check out the Golden Circle for 300 kilometres of the very best Icelandic landscapes. Alternatively, check out the views from Hallgrímskirkja then hit up the half-submerged City Hall and grab a coffee with half your body under the waterline. #Surreal. Tonight, we feast. Take advantage of the city’s local variety of seafood, meat and game, or if you’re not feelin’ the Nordic fare, tuck into the famous Icelandic hot dog – a staple in the Reykjavik’s food scene since 1937. Made with a combination of pork, beef and lamb, the dog is dubbed the best in Europe. You be the judge. Postdinner, delve into the city’s buzzing nightlife, but be prepared for a late one: things don’t get good ‘til like, midnight. (B) DAY 4 REYKJAVIK. Today = goodbyes.
