MEG MIDDLEMAN Coming from a background in education and psychology, Meg Middleman has been guiding her clients through the real estate buying and selling process since 1986. During that time, she has built strong, long-lasting relationships among satisfied clients and fellow agents alike. Meg is known throughout her area of southern California as a trustworthy resource for all things real estate. “The real estate business has been very exciting for me,” Meg says. “It’s always new, because it’s about people. I get to meet all kinds of great people, and I’m always trying to find ways to make the transaction better.” Meg and The Middleman Team serve South Pasadena and the surrounding northeastern Los Angeles area, including Pasadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, Altadena, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, Duarte, Bradbury, Temple City, Montrose, and more. About 70% of Meg’s business comes from repeat and referral clients, an impressive feat that demonstrates the trust and confidence she inspires. She continues her relationships with her clients long after the closing, and they know that because of Meg’s years of experience they can always turn to her for a recommendation of a trusted vendor to help them with anything they need.

one child at a time. Meg also supports the local school system as a Business Alliance member of the South Pasadena Education Foundation. When she’s not working or giving back, Meg loves to read, dance, be active in her church, spend time with family, and walk the dog with her husband. As for what the future holds, Meg says, “I have a nice strong business now, and all I want to do is make it better. Customer service is my #1 priority, and I’m always discovering what’s the next level in terms of how to help people through the process of purchasing or selling a home. I don’t think you ever totally arrive, you’re just always on the journey of getting better and better.” Meg’s favorite part of real estate is meeting new people and forming relationships with them. “Having a psychology background and being interested in people, I believe that everybody has something that’s very special and unique about them that contributes to the world,” Meg says. “I try to discover that. When I meet people, I immediately look for everything about them that I like. If you’re always looking for the things that are likable about people, you’re going to have a very happy life!”

When working with sellers, Meg says, “The first goal of marketing is to price the home correctly. Whenever a listing comes on the market that’s priced right, it attracts buyers. After that, you have to get the word out on this great home!” Meg accomplishes this via online marketing, as well as working with her extensive network of agents in the area who are always looking for properties for their clients. That’s in addition to promoting the listing to neighborhood residents and past clients. Meg likes to give back to her community. She is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the South Pasadena Kiwanis Club, an international service club dedicated to improving the lives of children 28
