H ELLO!

My journey to Architecture was unconventional after brief forays into both the Service Industry and Healthcare. I enjoyed varied project types always presenting new and interesting challenges, but I would like to find a specialty to focus on. Meeting clients, building relationships, problem solving, and creating effective solutions are a few of the many fulfilling aspects of Architecture.

At home, my wife Racquel and I are raising 3 amazing kidsAnthony, Isabella, and Evelyn. My hope is to find a work family as inspiring as my own.

A Child Development Center for Growth

A major design factor for the Laurens YMCA Child Development Center was an adaptable design that could be horizontally mirrored to double capicity if the demand required. The floor plan was maximized for the construction type and with efficiencies to keep construction costs down.

BIG AIR LAURENS

The challange of this project was marrying the scope of requirements within an empty 60 year old grocery store, that itself had experienced numerous modifications and expansions. This project included a restaurant, bowling alley, arcade, trampoline park, axe throwing, and offices.

GRADUATE STUDI ES

Clemson University’s entry into the 2015 Solar Decatholon won 2nd place in Engineering. This award acknowledged the Sim-Ply structural system that I developed, which was patented by the university.

Sim-Ply is a construction system for amatuer builders developed using the following design drivers;

-No cutting on competition site

-No measurement during construction

-No construction component requires more than two people to lift

-All components derived from off the shelf material (4x8 3/4” plywood)

-no power tools on site

-all components secured using zip tie hand guns

An Advanced System for Amature Builders The Simply System was developed using the following design drivers-

-No Cutting on Competition Site

-No Measurement During Construction

-No Construction Component Requires More Than Two People to Lift

-All Components Derived from Off The Shelf Material (4x8 3/4” Plywood)

-No Power Tools On Site
