1. Reset the Netgear router:

If the Netgear wifi extender is showing solid orange light then reset the device. You can do it either by pressing the reset button or the web user interface. Resetting the Netgear router will definitely help you to resolve this issue.

2. Cross-check the web address:

If you have entered the incorrect web address on the router then you could face the orange light on the Netgear extender. So, ensure that you have entered the correct web address on the extender setup.

3. Update the firmware of the router:

Initially, you have to update the firmware of the Netgear router, to get the latest version of it. Go to settings then click on the update option for getting the better version of the router. Once you update, then restart the system it will resolve your problem.

4. Restart the router and the modem:

Another way to resolve the Netgear orange light issue is to restart the router and modem both. For this, you simply have to turn off the router and modem both for 10 to 15 seconds, then turn them on again. If you are still facing the orange light then disconnect all the cables and then reconnect them and turn on the devices.

5. Check the power supply:

Netgear wifi extender will also flash an orange light if there is no continuous power supply. It can happen either with a defective wall outlet or a power outage. So, check the wall outlet first, and if it is damaged then get it repaired
