CENTER GROVE HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS TRACK & FIELD SENIOR TRIBUTE The IHSAA canceled the 2020 High School Spring Sports Season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This ended the high school careers for 15 Center Grove Girls Track & Field seniors. We are honoring these outstanding young ladies with this special salute. CG Girls Track & Field head coach, Wes Dodson, had the following praise for his seniors.

AVERIE BAKER “Averie is a new runner to the track team. She was going to be a sprinter. In the first month of practice, it was evident that Averie was really going to help the team. She had already shown that she could run varsity on either of the relays and we were excited to see where things would go.”

TEAGAN BIXLER “Teagan has been a varsity pole vaulter the last three years. She has really progressed with her time at CG. Teagan was a favorite to qualify for the state meet this year. She is going to go on to pole vault next year in college.”

JORDAN CASEY “Jordan has been throwing since her freshman year. She has been a varsity thrower since she joined the team. She loves being part of the team and she loves to compete.”

ALLISON CONKIN “Allie is a distance runner on the track

team. She likes to focus on the 800 meters. Allie is known for her fierce determination and toughness at the line.”

PAIGE DWYER “Paige has always been a runner who is willing to run any race the coaches ask. Everyone knows you will always get her best effort. She always is one of the hardest workers at every practice.”

GABBY ELLIS ”Gabby is an 800 meters specialist that has run all four years. She ran varsity as a junior and led our four-by-800 team to a county championship, blowing all the other girls

on the track away.”

ALAINNA FRANKEL “Alaina came out for the track team for the first time this year. She didn’t have to focus on basketball anymore so she decided to lend her talents to the track team. She was going to be a great 800 meters runner.”

GABRIELLE HARRELL “Gabrielle has been a four-year varsity runner for the track team. She qualified for the regional in all three years of high school. She has run in the four-by-800, 800, 1600 and 3200. She will leave a legacy of one of the most dedicated runners to ever
