Hello TASD Families,
Enjoy this “Mega” issue of the PAWS! We’re so proud to highlight the incredible students and faculty at Tomah Area School District! Congratulations to Mrs. Amanda Getgen, District Communications Coordinator, for earning numerous communications awards telling our school district story through print and electronic media at the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association Fall 2022 Conference! Our district has amazing student and employee stories to share and celebrate!
Winter has certainly set in this year! We want to thank you for the opportunity we took in mid-November conducting a test of our Infinite Campus Emergency Dialer System. The system will be used specifically for inclement weather or emergency situations impacting the district. Be sure to sign up for text message alerts if you would like to receive those too. Contact information is housed through our Infinite Campus student management system. It’s also the cold and flu season. In this issue we have great advice from our Health and Safety team helping us all stay healthy!
Once a month the PAWS will have an unofficial recap of the Tomah Area School District Board of Education regular monthly meeting. For official minutes and information on each item noted on the agenda, please see our website or view the minutes printed in the Monroe County Herald - the official district newspaper. Members of the board of education were very busy in November. One item to highlight was action approving the 2023-2024 School Year Lemonweir, Traditional, and 4K calendars. Those may be viewed on our district website. Discussion of a potential operating referendum for April 2023 has been a standing board level agenda item for several months. Presentation documents are available on our district website for your review as the board continues this discussion at their December Board Academy meeting set for Monday, December 5th. Many thanks and congratulations to our students, coaches and advisors for a fantastic Fall 2022 co-curricular season! We’re so proud of everyone’s accomplishments! Excitement is in the air with Winter 2022/23 activities in full swing! Thank you, everyone, for your ongoing support of our students, coaches, and advisors as we enjoy Winter 2023 co-curricular activities that enrich the educational journey of our students!
Have a great weekend!

Then then got to feel them, and finally to taste and describe. It was a very tasty and informative activity.
