Each November we celebrate Month of the Military Family! “Military Family Appreciation Month was established in 1993 by the Armed Services YMCA, with the U.S. Government recognizing the occasion every year since. Each year the President signs a proclamation declaring November Military Family Month. This annual proclamation marks the beginning of a month-long celebration of the Military Family in which the Department of Defense and the nation will honor the commitment and sacrifices made by the families of the nation’s service members.” U.S. Dept. of Defense Education Activity website. HELP Wyeville 11/8/22 LaGrange K-2 11/10/22
HAPPENING IN OUR DISTRICT
Tomah High School students participated in the annual Reality Check Exercise last week. It is a financial simulation where our high school students choose careers and make decisions about their budgets and lifestyles. The activity is a fun and effective way for students to learn about personal accounting, financial responsibility and life choices, and interact with local business people. This event would not be possible without the awesome volunteers! Thank you to all that helped facilitate this event. THS faculty join their students on the school’s ropes course, complete with bellringer/pampere pole (known as the Leap of Faith). Pictured is Ms. Bailey Burgard on the zip line and Mrs. Dawn Pierce executing one of the strategy exercises. The staff and students will repeat the challenge in the spring!
Members of the TASD Transportation team dressed up for their routes on Monday to join their passengers in some Halloween fun! Thanks for adding more fun to our day!
