It’s full steam ahead for the 2022-2023 school year with all buildings at Tomah Area School District in session! Thank you all so much for a wonderful first day of school! I had the opportunity to stop by our buildings enjoying visits with students, parents, guardians and our incredible faculty! Positive energy everywhere shaping powerful educational experiences for our community all year long! Together we’ll make this a great year for our students as they continue their educational journey! Mr. TJ Hove, Ms. Libby Hansen, and Ms. Morgan Ellsworth got creative in their classroom preparations this year. Mr. Hove did an “all about me” white board. Ms. Hansen chose the popular show “Stranger Things” to create her own Upside Down environment. In contrast to the dark, Ms. Ellsworth did a bright prismatic theme that stretches the length of her art room. Ms. Ellsworth is starting her first full school year (she joined us in November last year) so she was elated to officially move in and establish her own classroom. A great way to inspire and spark the imagination of our students!

Liz Ostrowski, our new Athletic Trainer assigned to us through Gundersen Health System, is pictured with new med kits for the middle school programs. The Tomah Sports Booster Club donated funds to cover the cost of this project. Meet Liz Ostrowski.TMS put on an energetic production for their newest class of 6th graders. WEB really kept the atmosphere pumped up! Tito (you good in there, Mr. Sasada?) and Mrs. King pose for a quick photo on their first day as TMS admins! We are wishing our Magnificent Middle an unstoppable year!

Mr. Vic Burnstad visited the THS Hall of Fame display to see his state champ plaque.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of School Safety (OSS) is thrilled to announce the launch of the SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT Resource Center (SUSO). SUSO is a comprehensive, one-stop place to turn to with your concerns regarding school safety. A facet of the Resource Center that we are particularly pleased to share with Wisconsin students and parents is the threat reporting system. The SUSO threat reporting system is available 24/7 and is free to all.
