In the vanguard is the great team at Lemonweir Elementary School kicking off the 20222023 school year on July 13th! I want to thank you so much for the opportunity to serve your children! Tomah Area Montessori School has their E-1 live
Building level back to school in-service programs for our faculty focused on instructional programming, safety protocols, and other topics unique to each building setting. With professional development opportunities in areas that included the Professional Learning Community process and trauma informed care; we remain committed to educating the whole child focusing on the academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being of students. The safety of our students, faculty, and visitors to our facilities carries the highest importance in our school district. We’ll continue safety meetings with area first responders and practice school safety procedures with drills held throughout the school year. We all play a role in school safety. When you hear or see something, please say something. Our administrative team will follow up. Fall 2022 co-curricular and athletic activities are in full swing! Thank you so much for supporting our students as they take part in programs they are passionate about. Activities build student skill sets, character, and positive teamwork and leadership traits for the future! We’re grateful to our coaches and advisors for their expertise providing exemplary activities to our students at every grade level!

Our Tomah Area School District family of employees have been busy throughout the summer preparing for this school year. The district held a very successful summer school session rich with programming building strong connections with our students. We would not be successful without the incredible gifts and talents of our instructional faculty, food service, transportation, information technology, and facilities teams! Hats off to all for making the summer a great learning opportunity for our students!

The TASD family of faculty were under one roof for their in person All-Staff In Service this week! The room was charged with energy. Dr. Hanson, Mike Gnewikow (BOE President), Angie Plueger (Director of Curriculum), Michelle Clark (Business Manager), and Amanda Getgen (Communications Coordinator) presented to staff to share their enthusiasm and optimism for the upcoming school year. The presentation included appearances from Tito (our mascot), a presentation from the Tomah ETA chairs, a performance by Limited Edition Show Choir, Gundersen Health provided required annual Blood Borne Pathogen training, and Support Staff participated in a Trauma” exercise and presentation.
