TASD GROUNDS & FACILITIES CREW HAS BEEN BUSY THIS SUMMER!

THS JAG SPECIALIST IS NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED

The summer break months are the busiest for our grounds and facilities crew as they make improvements and repairs to our facilities. A few projects conducted this year include: epoxy floors in Lemonweir Elementary; new black top, fence, and flagpole relocation at LaGrange Elementary; concrete repair and replacement in TMS front entry; the completion of converting all lights to LED district-wide; and the addition of a “State Appearances” and “State Champions” display in the THS gymnasium entryways.

Thank you to our own directors and crew members, our Board of Education, and the talented contractors for taking such great care of our spaces! Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a is a school-to-career program we are happy to offer at THS. Mrs. Julianna Scott is our JAG Career Specialist who keeps our students focused on graduation. She connects students with work-based learning experiences to prepare them for their future careers and post-secondary institutions. This summer, Mrs. Scott was awarded the award as Wisconsin’s Outstanding Specialist! She commented, “I hope this will promote even better opportunities for our students and programs in Tomah. I am PUMPED for what ‘22-’23 has to offer us.”

Watch for more information about JAG in our Back-To-School HOWL in early September!

HAPPENING IN OUR DISTRICT

High Quality Student Learning. Every Child. Every Day.

Mrs. Vonruden’s THS summer school class job shadowed at Molter’s! Our community is so generous in their support and knowledge.

Football players finished 30 pizzas during their card sale fundraiser! Our friends from Tomah Edward Jones dropped off their donation of school supplies to add to the donations from the Lion’s Club “Stuff the Bus!” supplies drive. The supplies will be distributed to each of our schools as needed.

Looking for Volunteers Wednesday, October 26 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Reality Check is a financial simulation where high school students choose careers and make decisions about their budgets and lifestyles. The activity is a fun and effective way for students to learn about personal accounting, financial responsibility and life choices, and interact with local business people. Spots are available for anyone to volunteer, not matter what your career path is or if you are retired. Complete the link by clicking here!
