Tomah Area School District is hosting a “Prospective Board Member Workshop” on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Robert Kupper Learning Center.
THS STUDENT-ATHLETES ATTEND MVC LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Every fall, THS chooses 25 student-athletes to attend a Mississippi Valley Conference leadership conference with other student athletes in the MVC. The presenter this fall was Craig Hillier who wrote the book “High School Sports Leader: Coaching Team Leaders and Captains to a Season of Significance”. The 3-hour event is an upbeat, motivational meeting that teaches our student-athletes leadership techniques they can use as young leaders on the court or field.
This informational meeting is for patrons interested in running as a candidate for a board member position on the Tomah Area School District Board of Education during the next election cycle. Information will be provided by District Administrator Mike Hanson. A current board member will also be in attendance to answer questions. Topics of discussion include: Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) Guide for Candidates, Tomah Area School District informational handouts, and question-and-answer session.
