Our sincere thank you to patrons residing within the Tomah Area School District boundary for voting on April 4th. Operational referendum monies will become part of our overall budget similar to previous years and used to maintain current educational programs for our students, salary and benefits for all staff, along with maintaining school safety and security measures and school facilities.
Have a great weekend!

Ms. Holmquist’s 7th grade ELA students entered an escape room and had to break the codes for four locks to protect society’s ability to argue or we would all have to have the same opinion. Students had to show their understanding of claims, evidence, reasoning, and counterarguments. What a fun way to learn!

TMS’s Science Club members took a trip to Chicago. They explored the city by foot, bus, and train, stopping at iconic locations. Science Club students traveled 103 stories (1,353 ft) to the Skydeck at Willis Tower! The Museum of Science and Industry was conquered on day 2; students toured various exhibits featuring everything from the human body and genetics to space travel and astronomy. A trip to Chicago isn’t complete without a stop at Cloud Gate, more affectionately known as the Bean. To round out the trip, Science Club visited Shedd Aquarium. The Windy City did not disappoint!
TMS Chess had their last tournament of the year on Saturday, April 1st, traveling to the Kalahari, in Baraboo, to attend the WSCF State Classic.
Approximately 130 students from all over the state competed in 3 divisions: K6, K8, and Open. Three sixth graders, Nyomi Grace, David Ziemiancyzk, and Ben Boyles competed in the K6 division and brought home a third place trophy (out of 6 teams).
Eighth graders Joanna Stryker and Kush Patel, along with 7th grader, Gavin Libbey, and 6th grader Aiden Gonzales, competed in the K8 division and brought home a 2nd place trophy (out of 8 teams).
Kush Patel also won 5th place as an individual in his division. What a great way to finish the season!!

TAMS
As part of the PBIS program, at the end of each quarter, the Wyeville staff recognize students who are making positive growth in the areas of Math and Reading. They also recognize students who are doing well in Art, Music, and Physical Education. Each classroom teacher also gets to choose a Star Student who is being recognized for making positive choices and following school expectations. Those students then get to have a Culver’s lunch with the Principal! Ean, Ayris, Liam, Kolton, Annai, and Bella were recognized as Star Students in their class for 3rd quarter. As you can see, they enjoyed their lunch and ice cream with Mr. Gnewikow! Way to go Wyeville students!!
