Calling All Knowledge Educators

The Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation's Education Department is looking to provide services to American Indian students in Del Norte and Curry County. The California/Oregon Indian Student Services Program (COISSP) developed by the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation (TDN) is designed to expand the options of services available to Native students and to increase parent and student choice in the services that students receive. COISSP is open to all Native students in Curry County Oregon and Del Norte County. The focus of the COISSP application is to expand educational choice by enabling the TDN Education Department in partnership with schools in Del Norte and Curry County to develop student options that meet the needs of their students and enabling parents of Native students, or the students, to choose education services by selecting the specific service and provider. We plan to have an online portal which allows parents/ students to choose and schedule specific activities. As we finalize the online portal we will collect contact information and parent/student choices manually. After receiving the information from parents and or students we will make contact (phone/email) to schedule services that match your cultural and academic interests.

All services are Free and available to American Indian students in all grades Kindergarten thru 12th grade in Del Norte and Curry County. We ask for your patience as we finish the online portal and identify vendors to service students. In the near future the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation will be also be offering some transportation services (we will notify you when this is available).
