Del Norte Little League Opening Day: April 2, 2022

Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation is the park and field sponsor this year!

Hundreds of locals enjoyed the sunshine, the crafts, the food, and the games. This was a fun event for everybody!

CR Del Norte placed signage recognizing they are in Tolowa Territory

Head Start welcomed so many wonderful community visitors this past month. On March 11th,Smith River Fire did a special presentation with Sparky the Dog. They shared about fire safety and each child toured the fire truck along with spraying the water hose. Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office visited on March 18th. They shared about their jobs, strangers, and when to call 911. Each child was deputized with a sheriff sticker. On March 24th, Emily Reed and her daughter Marlee Reed presented their beautiful regalia dress with two cultural dolls. On March 28th,

Recology brought their garbage trucks. Each child was able to toured inside and operate the lift, they also explained the importance of recycling in order to save our environment. Shu’ Shaa nin-la (thank you) to all of our presenters.

Summer is around the corner!

Accepting applications for summer break. We offer year-round daycare, including school breaks. We invite all children—Tribal & community members—2 years, 9 months to 5 years of age to join us.
