I was just there, staring and waiting for the right opportunity to ask you if we could dance together but all those introversions came over me.

"Why don't you ask her?" a voice from behind broke my daydreaming and I didn't even bother to look at the person who started the conversation. "I'm too shy to ask her to dance," I answered.

"You know, I was once like that. I had all the opportunity in the world yet I wasted it. I had her in my arms yet I let her slip away before I could even take one last grasp on her. I may be rich but I am poor in love," the man replied, causing a deafening silent bridge between us. But his reply made me realize something. "I may not change my past but I certainly can change yours. Don't do the mistakes I have committed. Ask her before the song's over," he added. He stood up and walked away. He turned his back on me before I could even know who that man is.

"I know, if I ask her, she'll just say no," I uttered to myself. I just stood there imagining that scenario back in my high school days."The dance floor is now yours to take," the emcee announced. "It's time to change the future." I sat beside a guy wearing a blue and gray semi-formal attire and questioned him, "Why don't you ask her?"
