What and how
To stand a strong chance of getting into the college of your dreams, it is important to have a well-rounded portfolio - one that showcases your ambition, your interests, and your openmindedness. Your portfolio should highlight consistent time commitment, a high degree of initiative, and a certain level of leadership.
The high school enrichment offering is designed to help our students build a strong portfolio for their college application. Students will immerse in activities in four key areas that admissions officers look for - Creativity and Passion Projects, Sports, Research Skills and Projects, and Community Service and Action.
To showcase strong extracurricular projects, students will have the opportunity to choose one of the following based on their interests: visual arts, theatre, and coding, robotics, & digital fabrication
Harvard Young Leadership Program
Why
The Harvard Young Leadership Program spans three days and centres around leadership activities, contextual problem-solving, and group collaboration to generate inventive solutions to some of the most urgent challenges of our era. As part of the program, students will undertake a hands-on project with measurable outcomes. Students will immerse in building leadership skills and a network of Harvard mentors. They have over 40 programs covering various topics, which are broadly classified into business, science and technology, leadership, social impact, and communication.

Why
Navigating the complex landscape of career choices can be a daunting task for students, as they strive to find a path that aligns with both their abilities and passions. The JuniorMBA program is a unique opportunity that enables students to gain invaluable insights into potential careers, empowering them to make well-informed decisions about their future paths.
As part of the high school enrichment program, students will immerse in core skills workshops and an immersive juniorMBA in the career of their choice.
What and how
To start, students will do a comprehensive 3-skills workshop, designed to assist them in discovering their inherent strengths and interests. By categorizing their problem-solving skills into three distinct areas—computational thinking, behavioral thinking, and commercial acumen—students engage in targeted activities to sharpen their natural talents and identify where they truly excel.
Upon completing the workshop, students can embark on Clever Harvey's JuniorMBA series, which provides a unique opportunity to:

Why
A large part of your college application is expected to be around extracurriculars with a strong focus on community service. The quality of your community service projects matters much more than how many are on your list. Colleges aren’t looking for a laundry list of volunteering stints, they’re interested in how community service built your character, the commitment you showcased, and the impact you had.

Students in the high school enrichment program will participate in long-term community service projects by They will: spending one day a month at the organisation of their choice.

Research skills and projects
Why
Demonstrating strong research skills and successful completion of research projects prepares students for future academic and professional pursuits. Admissions committees value students who can demonstrate independent thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to learning, qualities that are all fostered through research projects. For our IBDP students, working on research projects will help them master the extended essay and internal assessment components.
What and how
Students will:

Participate in a short-term research methodology course with Dr. Avani Desai.
Do short activities and skill-focussed projects
Deep dive into researching topics of their interest
Learn to select appropriate primary and secondary data for their research project
Learn to use statistical tools to analyse data and develop critical thinking
Learn to synthesise and evaluate their data, make sense of the limitations of their project, suggest corrections, and complete their project
Complete a capstone project that is a culmination of the student’s academic and intellectual work
Dr. Avani Desai is a Professor and Dean of Business Administration at GLS University and she is a Visiting Faculty member at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, MICA and EDII. She has 18 years of corporate and academic experience. She holds an MBA in Finance and a PhD in the area of Investor Relations (financial communication). She has co-authored the award-winning, best-selling book “Corporate Reputation Decoded”, and has several international research publications to her credit. Her areas of research are investor relations, corporate reputation, financial literacy, valuation, and employability.

Why
Sports give students a platform like no other to build both - the mind and the body. Our structured sports program will offer students an opportunity to build a wide range of skills while specialising in one sport. Students will choose one sport from four options: football, cricket, basketball, and volleyball.

In today’s world, art takes many forms - an instagram post, an NFT, an AI generated illustration, or a beautiful authentic piece of oil painting. Students who select visual arts as an elective will build their arts portfolio for high school and college.

Theatre arts
Why
As one of the oldest artforms known to mankind, theatre provides students with multiple ways of expressing themselves and helps them become confident communicators. Theatre gives students a platform to refine their language, connect with their bodies, and tell stories that have the potential to engage an audience.
What and how
Our theatre program has the following key components:
A fully equipped modern theatre studio where students get the opportunity to create and host performances
Highly trained drama who will conduct all the classes

Rangbhumi’s Applied Theatre curriculum that focuses on social emotional learning and on providing students with exposure to a wide range of theatre practices Students will learn improvisation, practical work, projection, pitch, tone, enunciation, scene work, and more
Theatre performances wherein students will create, lead, and stage plays based on the themes they want to explore. Some potential plays might include To Kill a Mockingbird, The Outsiders, Dead Poets Society, Little Women, The Breakfast Club, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

We have designed our program with following key components:
A very large, futuristic makerspace equipped with manual and digital creation tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and more
A team of expert engineers and designers who will deliver the program and mentor student projects. Every class will be facilitated by our team of engineers and designers. They will work 1:1 with students to ensure that they have a strong portfolio for high school and college.
Project-based learning curriculum with three key modules:
Computer Science: Students will build coding skills using high-level languages. They will build apps, games, and AI models
Robotics: Students will build robots with sensors, motors and electronics for various applications such as self-driving vehicle, humanoid, and drones
Digital fabrication: Students will build commercially viable products with traditional and modern design and fabrication techniques
Portfolio building will be a core component of the program. Students will also build 1-2 keystone projects every year, thus creating a strong portfolio for their college applications. They will have the opportunity to select and develop their own projects, aligned with the UN sustainable goals and with their interests.
Annual MakerFest will be an opportunity for students to showcase their projects to the larger community. Students will also be encouraged to participate in other local and international events and competitions for making.

Regular check-ins with the AIS counselling team
High school is one of the most exciting times of a student’s life - filled with endless possibilities. Students in Grade 11 will meet the AIS counselling team 1:1 on a regular basis to craft their story. When college admissions officers review applications, they want to see students who have well-rounded backgrounds. Personalised time with the AIS counselling team will ensure that students weave a cohesive story on all fronts - grades, test scores, extracurriculars, essays, and letters of recommendation.
Through their interactions with the AIS counselling team, students
Understand the college application process and plan their academic year, including selecting subjects and competitive exams
Shortlist colleges and universities that students should apply to based on their interests and talents
Create a roadmap and timeline for college applications along with a things to do list
Attend college events and webinars to learn more about their specific choices, life on campus, application process, and admissions criteria
Interact with representatives from over 40 global universities in-person to know what these universities have to offer and what their college application process is like
Get guidance and fill out the actual application for colleges. There will be no restriction or cap on the number of applications. Students may apply to as many universities as they wish to, through AIS.
Resume and LinkedIn workshops
Being able to communicate the highlights of your personal, academic, and professional life in one succinct page is a treasured skill. We have partnered with experts to help students build their resume and LinkedIn profile.
Through a series of workshops, students will:
Learn how to structure and format their resume
Understand the underlying why behind the resume
Work 1:1 with the instructor to craft their resume and their LinkedIn profile and get feedback on the structure and content of their resume
Discover tips and tricks to make the resume an effective part of their college application
The college application essay provides an opportunity for students to showcase their unique qualities, experiences, and aspirations,
demonstrating their suitability for the program and setting themselves
apart from other applicants. A compelling essay is written coherently
and persuasively, allowing the admissions committee to gain a deeper understanding of the student beyond their test scores and academic records.
To craft successful college application essays, students in Grade 12 will:
Get 1:1 guidance to write the Common App essay, supplemental college essays, and short answer essays
Practise regularly and master the iterative process of writing by creating multiple drafts and getting feedback and reviews from their writing coach
Study successful application essays and get insights into how to engage the reader, craft a compelling narrative, and effectively convey their personal qualities and experiences
Get editing and revision support. Writing coaches will carefully proofread their work, checking for grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, and inconsistencies.
