2019 Granada, Spain Year 6 Individual Project Museum 8500 m2 Alhambra is famous for its decorative patterns found in its interior, but there is no information about how they are crafted in the Alhambra. Therefore the museum seeks to create a space dedicated to preserve the knowledge of pattern making in the city. It also incorporates an existing chapel on site. The proposal improves access to the chapel and at the same time revives the culture of pattern that once existed on site. The narrative of pattern making reconnects the site with its history and the new museum.

2018 Bristol, United Kingdom Year 5 Individual Project Workshop 1000 m2 The student shed is a community workshop that is metaphorically a “playground� for students at University of Bristol.

Flexible modular workshop space can be rented by students as a way to relieve stress to combat the rising number of student committing suicide. The design is generated from a gird that allows easy customization of work station. The open plan workshop made in timber is anchored by a series of concrete blocks containing different machine workspaces.

03 Culinary Art School Cultivate - Cook - Consume Year Location Type Program Size Description

2017 Dorchester, United Kingdom Year 4 Individual Project Culinary art school 2300 m2 The main agenda of this culinary art school is to train chefs as creative designers instead of a cooking machine. Ingredients used in this school will be grown in the kitchen garden that focuses on cultivating varieties of plants that were lost in history. Having a kitchen garden not only provide students with fresh ingredients it also facilitate a deeper connection between students and the vegetables that they cook with.

2016 Oxford, United Kingdom Basil Spence - Year 4 Group Project Train Station 1600 m2 Since industrial revolution, there has been an obsession with speed in our society. People often feel anxious and agitated when they are travelling with the rush hour crowd. To bring back the meditative quality that a train journey once had, we propose to reduce the trains station into a waiting room that evokes a sense of stillness within the layered movement in Oxford. The waiting room then sits on a concrete shell structure that spans 65m without any columns that holds the waiting room on top of the railway. A timber shell sits on top of the concrete shell to provide shelter and connects the platforms with the main space.

The brief is to build an experimental theatre on an abandoned London underground station. My group was one of the three groups selected to be exhibited in the London Transport Museum.

2014 Bath, United Kingdom Year 1 Design Studio Timber Pavilion for exhibiting furniture 20 m2 This project is about designing a sales pavilion for a furniture manufacturer. The only product is Red and Blue Chair designed

by Gerrit Rietveld. The pavilion is designed “inside out�, which means the design is informed by elements of the chair. I have extracted the unique joint the Rietveld designed for the chair and used that to create the pavilion.

2015 Combe Down, Bath, United Kingdom Year 2 Design Studio Community Hub 100 m2 This project is about designing a community hall at Combe Down, which is a small town near Bath. The building should have plenty of storage rooms and a main hall, as well as various service rooms. Form of the main hall is intended to direct the user to the grass field.

The living room was designed in a mini music chamber setting.

2015 Central, Hong Kong Personal project Centre piece for a theatrical production 4 m2 This sculpture is a centre piece for a drama performance with a theme about camp-fire and time. The design is informed by a hourglass that is twisted. The stacking structure was inspired by the way that firewood for a camp fire is stacked. The sculpture is made of recycled wood boards from shipping pallets.
