• /d/: played, cleaned

• /ɪd/: started, wanted

Listen and repeat the sentences. Notice which word is stronger.

• "I FINished my work." (the action is stronger)

• "I finished my WORK." (the thing is stronger)

Now say each sentence aloud. Try to change the strong word.
