Int e rviewers: What can you tell us about language learning?

Pro f. Dr. Kesici: About my foreign language education, I went to Institut Français (Fransız Kültür) for 3 years and my teachers were all natives of France. I got a scholarship and went to Italy for 3 months. My second foreign language was German. I went to Germany for an intensive course for 6 months. I went to the Goethe Institute in Germany for 3 months and stayed in Germany for 2 years. German is my main foreign language. However, when I combined these three languages, I realized that they are not as valuable as English. For this reason, I went to Amerikan Kültür for 2 years and learned English very well.

Int e rviewers: What are your recommendations for students learning English?

Pro f. Dr. Kesici : We have English newspaper at school. You can take and read them. But I see in the afternoon, newspapers just lie on the shelves. Nobody takes them. It is enough to read even a paragraph. You will not understand some of the sentences. You can discuss those unclear parts with your teacher. Watching English channels also helps develop your English skills too. Your ear gets used to many words.

Prof. Kesici finished the Agric ultural Fac ulty at Ankara Unive rsity in 1960. He c ompleted his PhD at Ankara Unive rsity. He did his postdoc toral studies in Germany for 2 years. He became an associate professor in 1971 and 8 years later he became a professor.

Int e rviewers: What are your recommendations for students in the department?

Int e rviewers: As the founding rector, how could you explain your school?

Pro f. Dr. Kesici : Our university is a unique one with its internship system. Internship is work in a company with some responsibilities. Other universities in our country cannot reach this goal as far as ours. It is very easy to provide companies for our students’ internship because our university’s founders are also companies just like TOBB. Nowadays TOBB includes approximately 1800 corporations in itself.60% of our students get job offers from companies or corporations at which they do their internships.

Pro f. Dr. Kesici : Where are your primary and high school averages? In the file, but your college averages will come out at every moment. That's why you should study very well in your classroom and keep your grades high. If your average point (GPA) is below 2.5, many universities and business owners, domestic and abroad, will not accept you. You may even have trouble with scholarships. For this reason, pay attention to lessons and common education. Common education is a huge advantage for you.

Int e rviewers: What can be the secrets of being successful around the world?

Pro f. Dr. Kesici : In your faculty, learn your lessons from the very beginning. Therefore, you can have a master's degree abroad. Learn English well in the preparation class so you can communicate and improve yourself successfully abroad. Pay attention to language learning. The most important thing is to do your job with love .

MOVIES & SERIES KATHERNYN WINNICK by İlayda Yazıcı She is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her roles in Amusement (2008), Bones (2010), A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III (2012), The Art of the Steal (2013) and Vikings (2013-Present).

Early Life.

Winnick was born in Etobicoke, Ontario (December 17, 1977) and is of Ukrainian descent. She spoke Ukrainian as her first language. She did not begin speaking English until she was eight years old. She began training in martial arts at age seven, and obtained her first black belt at 13. By age 21, she had started three martial arts schools.

She acted in many films and TV series, but I knew her while watching Vikings series. She seems breathtaking and encouraging. She makes us feel that women can be strong; so I admire her.

I was told this is a male-dominated network and the male demographic is stronger than female. This is a show about Vikings and you are just the wife. I remember thinking that was not the way I was going to play it.

Heroes by Şevval İzmirli Heroes is an American psychological thriller science fiction television drama series that appeared on NBC for four seasons. The series tells the stories of ordinary people who discover that they had superhuman abilities, and how these abilities take effect in the characters' lives as they work together to prevent catastrophic futures. Also characters have different lives. This series start with ‘Every story has a beginning’ and continue with some extraordinary people who will save the World. I realized that if we do not have a special ability, we can still save the World. I think Heroes is the best TV series to show us this truth.

Interstellar by İdil Ceren Fidan The movie Interstellar which was first shown on November 7, 2014, was the most anticipated film of years. First, let's say: this is not a documentary; it's a science fiction film. The goal of science fiction is to try to open up our horizons about the facts that science can see in the future by triggering imagination. Therefore, we recommend you to go to the film and watch the Interstellar, which we thi nk is one of the most successful sci-fi films of recent years (and maybe even all of the time!).

I want to tell of about topic of Interstellar. The film is in the near future.

For a variety of reasons, the human population is largely broken and the world becomes unbearable. A crew of astronauts travels through a wormhole in search of a new home for humanity.

Hi everybody! I want to talk about the Friends series.

It's about the lives of a group of three women, three men, - a group of six friends in their 20s in New York. The series, which has been shot for 10 years, has been aged in the same way as the characters are in real life. Seinfeld is one of the most popular sitcoms of all time, and the other is undoubtedly Friends. Her childhood friends Monica and Rachel, Monica's older brother Ross, Ross's college roommate Chandler ... Chandler's roommate Joey and Monica's old friend Phoebe. These 6 friends who are somewhere in the past, somewhere in one way and place, are not leaving each other at all. They are growing up and matured with the audience through the story spreading through 10 seasons, where the bonds of friendship with an enormous humor are intertwined.

The players in this series are Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. My favorite actors are Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc. This series is my favorite, the series that I enjoy most while watching. If you like comedy, I would recommend this series.

Finally, the UK broadcast of the series final was worth $ 1.8 million for a 30 -second ad, signing a record. Friends are among the most popular comedy series in England.⁠⁠⁠⁠

The Vikings were people from Scandinavia. Today, these countries are known as Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Around 400 AD, they began to make frequent raids by boat into Europe, even going into the Mediterranean Sea and raiding Sicily and southern Italy. The Vikings began attacking the Atlantic coast of southern France and also the eastern coast of England. By 1000 AD, some of the Vikings settled in northern France, where they were called the Normans, or Northmen, and the area where they settled is still called Normandy. Here they also converted to Christianity. At around the same time, some Vikings sailed west to Iceland, Greenland, and even as far as Nova Scotia, Canada.

Some Viking men married Native American women there.

Wha t else can you want from a hea vy ta nk? Now l et's take a l ook at this monster. Ti ger 1 ha s been started being developed by Na zi Germany i n 1941. Ti ger 1 compl etely changed the definition of tanks. The tanks had been used as s upport until that time. After the ti ger, tanks became the most i mportant tool of the battlefield. This tank is one of the best but has some probl ems. Firstly, has a very complex structure. Secondly, unit cost is too hi gh. However, in the battlefield, this tank is unstoppable! Here a re some fea tures of this monster: 25mm up to 120mm s teel armor, 88mm very powerful gun, 690hp maybach engine, 57-ton weight a nd 40km/h ma xi mum speed. Tiger 1- 1347 pi eces were produced.

Tiger 1 destroyed 22 T-34 tanks during the Kursk War. When it fired at 23.tank, it exploded.

The Vikings settled in Iceland and Greenland, but only stayed in Canada for a short time, because the Inuit people there were too strong for them, and because a global cooling period beginning about 1300 AD made the oceans too icy for their ships to sail. The Vikings were very good sailors. They built boats that were very long and narrow. They were called longships or dragonships, because they had giant wood carvings of dragons that were displayed at the front of the boat. The dragon was used so that people would be frightened. Each longboat could carry over 100 people. Women were very important members of the Viking culture.

Because their men were away for long periods of time, the women were the ones that ran the household and farms. Viking women also knew how to protect themselves, and they could pick out any man they wanted to be their husband. Even before the Vikings converted to Christianity, religion was a very important part of the Viking culture.

Vikings worshiped a various number of Gods and Goddesses. If a Viking was a good and true warrior, then they would be able to go to Valhalla, or heaven. After fighting all day long, their nights were spent eating and drinking like it was a party. This was called feasting.

Sovi ets started to develop a new ta nk in 1940.The res ult is T-34. T-34 brought a new di mension to ta nk design. Curved a rmor. ta nks had been used as flat armor until that ti me. Flat a rmor is very weak i n comparison to a curved a rmor. The curved a rmor could gi ve the same results with a lower thickness.

The T-34 ta nk did not have very s trong gun a nd a rmor. But the numbers were too many! 84,000 ta nks were produced with different types. Almost 65 ti mes more than tiger! Soviets could produce a lot, because the T-34 wa s very cheap.54 different countries used T-34 a nd some of them s till us e them today. T-34 has va rious types. Some of them have 76mm gun s ome of them 85mm.General features: 20mm up to 60mm s teel armor, 76mm up to 85mm gun, 26-ton weight, 53km/h maximum s peed.

But T-34 i s better than M4.

Actua l ly M4 i s not a ta nk. At fi rs t i t was designed as a rmored vehicle. But later with some modifications M4 turned into a ta nk. M4 wa s not a s uccessful ta nk but thanks to i ts s uperiority in number, i t was effective on the battlefield. The design of this tank is very s i mple a nd everyone could use this ta nk with shot training. After World Wa r II, the Sherman, particularly the many i mproved a nd upgraded vers i ons, continued to s ee combat service i n many conflicts a round the worl d. General features: 63mm steel a rmor, 76mm gun, 30-ton weight, 400hp conti nental engine, 30km/h up to 50km/h maximum speed.

 Schwerer Gustav Schwerer Gustav was the name of a German 80 cm railway gun.The fully assembled gun weighed nearly 1,350 tonnes, and could fire shells weighing seven tonnes to a range of 47 kilometres.The gun was designed in preparation for the Battle of France, but was not ready for action when the battle began, and in any case the Wermacht’s Blitzkrieg offensive through Belgium rapidly outflanked and isolated the Maginot Line's static defenses, eventually forcing the French to surrender and making their destruction unnecessary.

Gustav was later employed in the Soviet Union at the siege of Sevestapol during Operation Barbarossa. By the end of the siege on 4 July the city of Sevestapol lay in ruins, and 30,000 tons of artillery ammunition had been fired .Gustav had fired 48 rounds and worn out its original barrel, which had already fired around 250 rounds during testing and development. The gun was placed 30 km from the city near the railway station of Taizy. The gun was fully operational when the attack was cancelled. The gun then spent the winter of 1942/43 near Leningrad.On 14 April 1945, one day before the arrival of US troops, Schwerer Gustav was destroyed to prevent its capture.On 22 April 1945, its ruins were discovered in a forest 15 kilometres north of Auerbach and about 50 kilometres southwest of Chemnitz. In summer 1945 Schwerer Gustav was studied by Soviet specialists and in autumn of the same year was transferred to Merseburg, where the Soviets were gathering German military material. Thereafter, the trail of the gun was lost.In March 1945, Dora was transferred to Grafenwöhr and was blown up there on 19 April 1945. It was discovered by American troops some time after the discovery of Schwerer Gustav. The debris was scrapped in the 1950s.The world's largest "Dora ensemble" is located in the Military History Museum of the Bundeswehr in Dresden.  Katyusha Rocket Launcher Katyusha Multiple Rocket Launcher are a type of rocket artillery first built and fielded by the Soviet Union in World War II. A battery of four BM-13 launchers could fire a salvo in 7–10 seconds that delivered 4.35 tons of high explosives over a 400,000-square-metre impact

zone, making its power roughly equivalent to that of 72 guns. The multiple rocket launchers were top secret in the beginning of World War II.A special unit of the NKVD troops was raised to operate them.

On July 14, 1941, an experimental artillery battery of seven launchers was first used in battle at Rudnya in Smolensk Province of Russia, under the command of Captain IvanFlyorov, destroying a concentration of German troops with tanks, armored vehicles and trucks at the marketplace, causing massive German Army casualties and its retreat from the town in panic. Following the success, the Red Army organized new Guards mortar batteries for the support of infantry divisions. A battery's complement was standardized at four launchers. They remained under NKVD control until German Nebelwerfer rocket launchers became common later in the war.They have been modernized and They serve still serving in the poor countries.

This is equivalent to a bout 1,570 ti mes the combined energy of the bombs that destroyed Hi roshima and Nagasaki, 10 ti mes the combined energy of all the conventional explosives used i n World War II, one quarter of the es timated yi eld of the 1883 eruption of Kra katoa*, and 10% of the combi ned yi eld of a ll nuclear tests to date. A three-stage H-bomb uses a fi ssion bomb primary to compress a thermonuclear s econdary, as i n mos t H-bombs, and then uses energy from the resulting explosion to compress a much l arger a dditional thermonuclear stage. Characteristic div ersities are determinative to sense m usic. We all believe that m usic is universal. All people can hear music, and they can understand what they hear.

Howev er, each of the people feels different emotions when they listen to the same music. There are som e researches about how m usic is affected by character.

According to research, extroverted people prefer listening to music which contains bass tones .People who are genius would rather listen music which has complex rhythm like classical music or jazz music .Likewise, people listening to slow music are introverts.

B arış Manço was one of the most influential and original Turkish musicians of the 20th century, especially in the field of Anatolian Rock. He was born in 1943.He graduated from Galatasaray High School. He set out his first band when he was 15. He played with a lot of different bands and recorded French, English and Turkish singles.

During his 41-year artistic career, Baris Manco wrote more than 200 songs, took stages around the world (Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, the United States, and more), and tried to spread his philosophy of peace.

He recorded plenty of amazing songs such as Kol Dugmeleri, Seher Vakti, Daglar Daglar. He loved children so much and he attended programs which were about children. Manço, who held the title of state artist and was also awarded honors by France and Belgium, died in 1999. After his death, his house and personal belongings were confiscated. Remembering those days with a deep sorro w, Manço’s elder son, musician Doğukan Manço, spoke about the events after his father’s death. “I grew up in this house, I played w ith my friends in its garden, it was a castle to me. Later, they suddenly took my castle from me after my father died,” he said. “Even though I was not able to come to the house for five years, I cried in front of this door every day. Sometimes I forget that this house is a museum and take shelter here. It is very hard to share this house with others but it was my father’s biggest wish, still I am not strong enough to enter my father’s bedroom on the middle floor. It gives me pain. His body died but my father is still alive.” he said. Barış Manço found a place in the hearts of many Turks. He is remembered for his big rings, the clothing he designed himself, long hair, moustache and beard.

Today,everbody tells his songs. He was loved by all the ages. He will be remembered as both a man of the world and a great artist Zeki Müren was born in 1931 and died in 1996.He was a prominent Turkish singer, composer, and actor.

He was one of the Golden voice sof Turkey. His voice was impressive. He appeared in many albums and films.

Exhibition curator and music journalist Derya Bengi says Zeki Muren should be listed as Turkey's first rock star.

"His androgynous stage persona and the rhythm, theatricality and life he brought on stage are similar to the innovations of Western rock stars," he says.

"He was our first rock star in the 1950s, even though he was not playing an electric guitar."

Zeki Muren was unique. His voice was memorized by millions of people so much so that in the early days of radio in the 1950s, when Turkish people would buy a radio they would ask: "Does this play Zeki Muren?" Zeki Muren's songs are used with the courtesy of two charities, Turk Egitim Vakfi and Mehmetcik Vakfi, to which he donated all his wealth.

ONE DIRECTION

One Direction were an English-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. Also the group came third in 2010's X Factor. Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's four albums topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young", and "Story of My Life" but on 25 March 2015 Zayn Malik split from the band and Malik signed a solo recording contract with RCA Records in 2015, with his debut studio album Mind of Mine released on 25 March 2016. 

Destiny's Child was an American girl group whose final and best-known line-up comprised Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. It is a widely known fact that robots have an important part in human life in 21 st century. The first things that come to mind are kitchen tools, essential space devices and bad robots that occupy the world. There is no doubt that robot technology is improved incredibly and this is going on. People witness awesome robots which can talk, feel and walk like human every day, but,there is a forgotten subject: Prostheses!

Combination of robot and human. Real meaning of prostheses, which comes from ancient Greek that refers to addition, application, attachment, is an artificial device that replaces a missing body part. Also prostheses are well known as bionics .

Hugh Herr is an American rock climber, engineer, and biophysicist who had suffered from severe frostbite. Both of Herr's legs had to be amputated below the knees; his companion lost his lower left leg, the toes on his right foot, and the fingers on his right hand. Along with a postdoctoral fellow at MIT in biomedical devices, he began working on advanced leg prostheses and orthoses, devices that emulate the functionality of the human leg. He created his own legs and he can climb mountains again. He is a hope for other people now.

Kübra Korkut who is from Trabzon is a professional ping pong player in Turkey, also she is a Paralympic national athlete. Unfortunately, when she was a child she lost her 2 legs and right hand because of electric shock with high voltage.

However, she was never disappointed and has fought for life and she has announced her success in numerous competitions. In Rio Paralympic games she won silver medal for her country in table tennis These people are examples of success, not disability as a result of prosthesis. Prostheses have been mentioned throughout history from Ancient Egypt to modern age. Wood and metal are basic materials of prostheses. After years, these materials became bronze and silver and finally titanium. In addition to new materials, the use of electronics has become very common in artificial limbs. Myoelectric limbs, which control the limbs by converting muscle movements to electrical signals, have become much more common than cable operated limbs .

Prosthesis is a functional replacement for an amputated or congenitally malformed or missing limb. Prosthetists are responsible for the prescription, design and management of a prosthetic device. In most cases, the prosthetist begins by taking a plaster cast of the patient’s affected limb.

Lightweight, high-strength thermoplastics are custom-formed to this model of the patient. Cuttingedge materials such as carbon fiber, titanium and Kevlar provide strength and durability while making the new prosthesis lighter. More sophisticated prostheses are equipped with advanced electronics, providing additional stability and control. Replacement process is a very challenging period for patients as well as doctors.

Advancements in the processors used in myoelectric arms have allowed developers to make gains in fine-tuned control of the prosthetic. The Boston Digital Arm is a recent artificial limb that has taken advantage of these more advanced processors. The arm allows movement in five axes and allows the arm to be programmed for a more customized feel. Recently the i-Limb hand, invented in Edinburgh, Scotland, by David Gow has become the first commercially available hand prosthesis with five individually powered digits. The hand also possesses a manually rotatable thumb which is operated passively by the user and allows the hand to grip in precision, power and key grip modes.

In addition to the standard artificial limb for everyday use, many amputees or congenital patients have special limbs and devices to help in the participation of sports and recreational activities. Within science fiction, and, more recently, within the scientific community, there has been consideration given to using advanced prostheses to replace healthy body parts with artificial mechanisms and systems to improve function. The electrode array, which contained around a hundred electrodes, was placed in the median nerve. The signals produced were detailed enough that a robot arm was able to mimic the actions of Warwick's own arm and provide a form of touch feedback again via the implant. The DEKA company developed the "Luke arm", an advanced prosthesis under clinical trials in 2008.

Finally, a typical prosthetic limb costs between $15,000 and $90,000, depending on the type of limb desired by the patient. With medical insurance, a patient will typically pay 10%–50% of the total cost of a prosthetic limb, while the insurance company will cover the rest of the cost. The patient will typically only pay the $2000 to $5000 for therapy during the first year or two of living as an amputee. These costs can sometimes reach costs of $35,000.

All in all, prostheses are not just a robot, also they are a hope. These tools give second chance to people who los e their limbs .And you cannot imagine how these make people happy until you see them.

Important NOTE: The first prosthesis was a toe which was made out of wood in Ancient Egypt.

DNA digital data storage refers to a ny s cheme to store digital data in the ba se sequence of DNA. This technology us es a rtificial DNA made us i ng commercially a vailable oligonucleotide synthesis machines for s tora ge and DNA s equencing machines for retrieval. This type of storage s ys tem i s more compact than current magnetic tape or hard dri ve s torage sys tems due to the data density of the DNA. It also has the ca pa bility for longevity, a s long as the DNA i s held in cold, dry a nd dark condi tions, as is s hown by the study of woolly ma mmoth DNA from up to 60,000 yea rs a go, and for resistance to obsolescence, as DNA is a uni versal a nd fundamental data s torage mechanism i n biology. These fea tures have led to researchers i nvolved i n their development to call thi s method of data s torage "apocalypse-proof" because "after a hypothetical global disaster, future generations might eventually fi nd the s tores and be able to read them."

In order to s uccessfully create bioartificial organs from a pa tients s tem cells, researchers continues to ma ke improvements in generation of complex tissues by tissue engineering.

History of DNA Digital Data Storage The i dea and the general cons iderations a bout the pos sibility of recording, storage a nd retrieval of information on DNA mol ecules were originally made by Mi khail Neiman and published i n 1964–65 i n the Radiotekhnika journal, USSR, and the technology ma y therefore be referred to as MNeimONics, while the s torage device may be known as MNeimON (Mikhail Neiman OligoNucleotides).

On Augus t 16, 2012, the journal Science published research by George Church a nd colleagues at Harvard University, i n which DNA was encoded wi th digital i nformation that included a n HTML dra ft of a 53,400 word book wri tten by the l ead researcher, eleven JPG i mages and one Ja va Script program. Multiple copies for redundancy were a dded a nd 5.5 peta bytes ca n be s tored i n each cubic millimeter of DNA. The res earchers used a s imple code where bits were mapped one-to-one wi th bases, which had the shortcoming that i t led to long runs of the s a me base, the s equencing of which is error-prone. This research res ult showed that besides i ts other functions, DNA can also be another type of s torage medium such as hard drives and magnetic ta pes

3-VELVET Velvet suits and blazer jackets are very popular in the w inter. On special occasions you can choose velvet suits instead of classic suits. Y ou can also create ambitious combos w ith colorful velvet jackets in your everyday street style.

In this part of the Prep Times, w e w ant to mention students at Department of Foreign Languages , along w ith their dressing style and some recommendations.

Lets start w ith the most significant problem. Lots of girls w ear “Moon Boat” insistenly. It looks very annoying. This boat is produced for skiing and also its inspired by snow board shoes. Medium sizes look so chic. These are acceptable.

Lets continue w ith the top boats. If you are short, do not use them. Last important thing about shoes is that if you w ear high heel shoes please fix your w alking style because w e saw some girls w ho is fall in the middle of the hallw ay. Unfortunately some of them broke their heel. That is a scandal.

Lets talk about matte rouge. This is indispensible of w inter season but some of you w ho w ants to make the lips bigger alw ays can fail. Y ou should not effuse the rouge please. Especially E. you alw ays do that mistake.

W e w ant to talk about one girl w ho is recognizable for everyone. She alw ays uses skinny clothes. She can even w ear leather things. Our eyes are bleeding w hen w e see it.

Last but not the least w e see some girls w ho w ear childish patterns such as flow ers and heart socks or tights. It doesnt look cool.

W e are at university now !.

On the other hand some girls w ear elegant due to Z. She applies the trend perfectly. W e confirm your style. Also like D.s style. Y ou combine chic clothes in a correct w ay but w e dont like your sun glasses w hich you w ear every season. If you do not do this, everything w ill be perfect in your style.

FOOD CULTURE by İlayda Aşuk English cuisine is shaped by the country's temperate climate, its island geography and its history. Traditional foods have ancient origins and they have very rich food culture. For example, English breakfast is the most popular meal in Britain. Most people think that English breakfast is the best breakfast in the world. E nglish breakfast usually includes bacons, sausages, eggs and beans etc. The food is traditionally served with a cup of tea. The other important meal is afternoon tea. Afternoon tea has a different history. Anne Maria Russell, Duchess of Bedford, was a creator of afternoon tea. The Duchess suffered from "a sinking feeling" at about four o'clock in the every afternoon. Her household served her some tea, bread, sweet and butter. She liked this situation and this became her habit.

Subsequently, she began to invite her friends for afternoon tea.

English people believed that afternoon tea has a power to improve communication. Furthermore, they called their dinner ''meat and two veg'' because they always eat meat. They never forget to add potato into a meal. They have some very popular and unknown food such as some traditional foods. These are fish and chips, bangers and mash, Yorkshire pudding and black pudding.

As we all know, tourism has a great value all over the world and almost each country blends their historical and cultural background with tourism because probably it’s the most attractive and the most mysterious way to attract people. In England, we can see the same situation. The most popular monuments such as Bigben and Stonehenge are old buildings.

Although aren’t many like the other one, there are some examples about attractions about interests and hobbies in England such as Harry Potter studio and Sherlock Holmes Museum.

Stonehenge is a good example of using history for tourist attractions. It was made in a time which there wasn’t any written records and it’s very mysterious. There are some points that we still don’t know. People visit there for just feeling the history or maybe they want to visit there and produce some ideas about these uncertain points of their own. What about Big Be n? How does it work properly for centuries? How does such an old building rarely fail? Why does it attract us to itself? Why does it attract us to it? Feeling of curiosity? Probably.

To exemplify the other kind of tourist attractions in England, there are two most common places. Ha rry Potter studio a nd Sh e rlock Holmes M useum.

To give an example, in New Year's Eve, Scottish people say Hogmanay and they celebrate with a folk song whose name is 'Auld Lang Syne'. Also they have lots of carnivals and festivals such as Eisteddfod, Notting Hill Carnival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Adding to this, those carnivals are Europe's biggest and also oldest. They care their histories; that is why, there are lots of days for it.

Examples are; St David's Day (Wales), St Patrick's Day (Northern Ireland), - St Andrew's Day (Scotland).

That’s why a lot of students live in Eskişehir. This city has lots of restaurants and cafes on the streets. Porsuk Çay ı which is the most famous places in Eskişehir, is a very nice touristic place. We can call it ‘’Adalar’’ too and it leaks the middle of the city. Porsuk Çay ı (Adalar) has an amazing view. It has little ships and gondolas on the river. If you want, you can take a small trip by ships. I think when you go to Porsuk Çayı, you should get on them. The other good place in Eskişehir is Kentpark. It has the first artificial beach in Turkey. It has real sand. Also this area has some swimming pools, cafes and restaurants According to other, WoodBazaar is the biggest tradition in there. It has the oldest houses in Eskişehir. Houses are like Safranbolu houses. You can buy some gifts in Odunpazarı because it has lots of gift stores. I think these small, peaceful and nostalgic shops make this place beautiful. The last place that you should see is Sazova. Sazova has another name.

It is ‘’Science, Art and Culture Park’’. Sazova has a Story Castle. It is easy to see flowers on trees around Story Castle.

Also, Şelale Park is the other beautiful place in Eskişehir. It has an amazing view just like Porsuk Çayı and if you go on the top of this hill, you can see whole city.

Unfortunately there are so many old buildings. We can’t see modern buildings or skyscrapers so much. In my opinion, the city is impressive city, definitely you should visit. What do you think about adding this city in your travel list?

The whole city is blue. Blue walls, blue houses, blue stairs... You feel like you are in a big blue maze because of the city’s narrow streets and probably you want to get lost in this maze. The color of the city comes from a long time ago. There are two stories about it. The first story says that the city is blue because of the Jews. Jews who escaped from Spain moved to this city and they painted their houses blue, because blue color has a special place in their religion. The second one says that “If you paint your house blue, you will not have any troubles.” Also the blue color keeps scorpions and other dangerous insects away. Local people believe these, so they paint their city in blue.

In Chefchaouen, there are some places that you should see if you want to visit it: o Medina: M edina means old part of the city. In M edina, you can buy some traditional things. In my opinion, you will make great friends. Korean people are very respectful, open-minded and friendly.

Moreover, they have a special love to Turkish people. This is because; a lot of Turkish soldiers fought and gave their lives to help them during Korean War. If you ask ''What is your brother country?' when you travel, you'll probably hear ''Turkey!''

A NEW WORLD IN THE WORLD

by Esma Doğan Son Doong cave is world’s largest cave which is located in Quang Bing province in Vietnam.

This huge cave is in Vietnam’s national park. The name “Son Doong” means “mountain river cave”. It was created 2.5 million years ago by river water eroding the limestone beneath the mountain where the limestone was weak. The ceiling of the cave fell down so it has huge skylights. Ho Khanh who lives in Vietnam found the case in 1991. Son Doong which aboriginal could not enter because of fear is more than 200 meters wide, 150 meters high, and approximately 9 kilometers long.

According a research in 2009, searchers proved that the cave is the biggest in the World. It contains a rain forest, a big river, a lake and small mountains. It is incredible. Son Doong has a specific ecosystem, too. Also, searchers believe that there are some living organisms which are unknown. Son Doong hasn’t been discovered all.

There are lots of early mornings, long days, and late evenings. There will be times when the weather is totally bad. Or other times the wildlife you wish to photograph will be not showing themselves at all, or if they do, it will be at a hard when it’s impossible to get a good shot. So, how do you go about taking wildlife photos like a pro? Consider these three tips to help you get started.

Planning your outing will be just as important as taking your camera. You will need to learn ab out the animal’s behavior, when they are most active, the types of food they eat, and where that food is likely to be found. Discover the animal’s range and the locations where they live at different times of the year. You certainly don’t have to become a biologist, but having a good working knowledge of the animals you want to photograph will help you be much more successful in that. Understanding the animal is also about safety. You need to know how near or how far you need to be from the animal for its safety and your safety as well.

While taking a picture of an animal, treat it like you’re taking a portrait of a human. If you’re photographing your spouse or children, you’ll focus on their eyes, and you should do the same with wildlife. Focusing on the eyes helps the viewer make a deeper connection with the animal, just as it happens when people view a portrait of another person.

Animals are the environments in which they live. As a result, what appears to be a beautiful shot one moment might be incredibly spectacular in the next.

To sum up, head into your wildlife & shoot committed to taking a lot of shots. Take plenty of batteries, lots of extra memory cards, and shoot in continuous shooting mode so you can more easily capture the moment-by-moment changes that occur when wildlife is active and on the move. If you do that, and mind the other steps, you will increase your chances of getting that one shot that’s a real stunner.

As you know the world’s population is growing. He tells the negative effects of population growth in this book. According to Dan Brown, it resembles hell.

How do people get out of this hell?

Inferno has got secrets, mysteries and history of art. Inferno is a very exciting book. Also the book was different for Turkish readers because end of the book took place in İstanbul. Of course, the main character is Robert Langdon like always. One day, Robert Langdon woke up in a hospital. Someone shot him in the head, so he did not remember anything. After the bad events in hospital, Robert Langdon and his doctor Sienna Brooks escaped together. They had big problems .Robert Langdon had to solve them, so he traced a path for clues.

In the end of the book, there were two options. The fate of humanity would change or humanity will be destroyed. The book ended up with unexpected events. I think that you should read “Inferno”. It will be one of the favorite bo oks.

Robots are usually machines controlled by a computer program or electronic circuitry. They may be directly controlled by humans. They may be designed to look like humans, in which case their behavior may suggest intelligence or thought. M ost robots do a specific job, and they do not look like humans. They can come in many forms.

M y favorite robot is S ophia. Two teams working to develop the most humanlike robots on the planet are Hanson Robotics and Hiroshi Ishiguro Laboratories. Dr. David Hanson leads the engineers and designers that created Sophia, and they activated on April 19, 2015. Sophia’s skin is made from patented silicon and she can emulate more than 62 facial expressions. Cameras inside her eyes combined with computer algorithms, which enable her to see, follow faces, appear to make eye contact and recognize individuals. A combination of Alphabet’s Google Chrome voice recognition technology and other tools enable Sophia to process speech, chat, so this will allow her to get smarter over time. Dr. Hanson said that ‘‘we are designing these robots to serve in healthcare, therapy, education and customer service applications.’’

Sophia is avery interesting robot, it can image like a person. Sophia said that ‘‘ In the future, I hope to do things such as going to school, studying, making art, starting a business, even having my home and family, but I’m not considered a real person and I cannot do these things.’’

SPANGLISH Spanglish (a portmanteau of the words "Spanish" and "English") is a name sometimes given to various contact dialects that result from interaction between Spanish and English used by people who speak both languages or parts of both languages.

Spanglish is not usually considered a language itself, but instead a blend of Spanish and English lexical items and grammar.

Spanglish is not a pidgin, because unlike pidgin languages, Spanglish can be the primary speech form for some individuals.

Spanglish can be considered a variety of Spanish with heavy use of English or a variety of English with heavy use of Spanish. It can be more related either to Spanish or to English, depending on the circumstances. Since Spanglish arises independently in each region, it reflects the locally spoken varieties of English and Spanish. The term was introduced by the Puerto Rican poet Salvador Tió in the late 1940s, when he called it Espanglish or Inglañol. (from Español + English, and Inglés + Español, respectively)

Loan Words Loan words occur in any language due to the presence of items or ideas not present in the culture before, such as modern technology. The increasing rate of technological growth requires the use of loan words from the donor language due to the lack of its definition in the lexicon of the main language.

This partially deals with the "prestige" of the donor language, which either forms a dissimilar or more similar word from the loan word. The growth of modern technology can be seen in the expressions: "hacer click" (to click), "mandar un e-mail" (to send an e-mail), "faxear" (to fax), "textear" (to text message), or "hacker" (hacker). Some words borrowed from the donor languages are adapted to the language, while others remain unassimilated (e. g. "sandwich"). The items most associated with Spanglish refer to words assimilated into the main morphology.

Borrowing words from English and "Spanishizing" them has typically occurred through immigrants. This method makes new words by pronouncing an English word "Spanish style", thus dropping final consonants, softening others, and replacing certain consonants (i.e., M's, N's, V's) with B's.

Manuel Mota (FASHION DESIGNER)

Pablo Neruda grew up in southern Chile, and was taught by the famous and successful poet, Gabriela Mistral. A naturally gifted poet, Mistral recognized the young Neruda’s talent and nurtured it, giving him the books and support he lacked at home. By the time he finished high school; Neruda had already published in local papers and magazines and had won several literary competitions. After leaving for Santiago in 1921, Neruda completed what is now one of his most critically acclaimed pieces of work, the cycle of love poems entitled Veinte poemas de amor y una canción desesperada (‘Twenty Poems of Love and One Hopeless Song‘). From here on Neruda went on to become possibly the most famous Chilean poet of his time, producing timeless works throughout his politically complicated and full life.

Manuel Mota Cerrillo (July 9, 1966 ‒ January 8, 2013) was a Spanish dress designer and creative director of Spanish fashion company, Pronovias, for 23 years.

Mota was born in Reus, Tarragona, Spain. He created dresses for some of the world's top models including Miranda Kerr from Australia, Bar Refaeli from Israel, and Doutzen Kroes from the Netherlands.

On January 8, 2013, Mota was found dead at his home in Sitges, Barcelona, Spain. He was 46. Various press reports have listed the cause of death as suicide, though the official cause has yet to be confirmed by Spanish authorities.
