In keeping with the historic vision and mission of Tennessee Wesleyan University, the MSEd graduate program prepares future academic and curricular leaders to be competent professionals, service-oriented individuals, and reflective practitioners. The program was established for certified teachers and/or students with undergraduate degrees in a related field and centers on a sophisticated course management system of classes offered at flexible times to accommodate working adults.

The MSEd at Tennessee Wesleyan University is a fully online program.

Your career advancement won’t put you back financially. The MSEd program tuition is $650 per credit hour. The program can be completed in 30 semester hours.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The admission requirements for Curriculum Instruction:

• Online application

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

• Official transcripts from all undergrad work

• 2.75 overall GPA

• Two letters of recommendation

The Instructional Leadership concentration leads to a Instructional Leadership Pre-K-12 license endorsement in order to meet Tennessee Department of Education requirements, applicants to the Instructional Leadership concentration who want to pursue licensure must also submit evidence of:

• A valid TN teaching license

• 3 years of qualifying teaching experience

• Teacher evaluation scores demonstrating a Level 4 or 5 in the most recent two years

• Demonstrated leadership potential

• One of the letters of recommendation must come from the applicant’s LEA

After receiving a complete application, Instructional Leadership applicants must also participate in the following:

• An interview with the TWU Education Graduate Advisory Council

• A background check
