Virginia African American Advisory Board (VAAAB) Who is the Virginia African American Advisory Board (VAAAB): An advisory team of appointed community members, who advise the Governor about issues and strategies to better serve the needs of African Americans in Virginia.

Survey Purpose Community Survey Purpose: “The VAAAB Community Survey” is a board initiative to better understand quality of life issues that are a priority for Black folks across the Commonwealth.

“According to the 2010 United States Census, the African American community comprises approximately 19.4% of Virginia’s population. African Americans represent 12.6% of the total United States population.”
