Who can find a Virtuous Woman? For her price is far above rubies.

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Obituary The world was blessed with a beautiful spirit named Cherylynn Denise Hayes on April, 12, 1983. “Neecy”, as she was best known, accepted Christ at six years of age under the leadership her grandfather, Elder William Henry Hays, Sr., at First Church of God and Christ. On December 31, 2023, our beloved Cherylynn Denise “Neecy” Hayes Broadway gained her wings. Much like her grandparents, William Henry Hayes and Mattie Hayes, who both proceeded her in death, Neecy was a warrior, an extraordinary, strong, caring and giving woman of God who loved and lived life to the fullest. Faith and family were at the center of her core values. Often considered a matriarchal figure of the Hayes family, she was most devoted as a wife to husband, Kamal Broadway.

She was an amazing, loving mother to her two children: Jaxon, 9, and Kinsley, 6. With a soul as beautiful as a field of golden sunflowers, Neecy radiated positivity and warmth with her presence which was fierce and bright. She was truly loved by many. Leaving to mourn in her absence is her Mother, Patricia Hayes Dye,Father, Darnell Dye, Grandmothers, Emma Lois (William, deceased) Hayes, Betty Ann (Horace, deceased) Dye, Brothers: Derrick (Danielle) Dye, Erick (Taylor) Dye, Michael (Felicia) Dye; sisters: Monique “Precious” Dye and Donita (Mario) Foster; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, Which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; And not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.

To Jaxon & Kinsley Commit to Loving Oneself

Children if there is one thing I learned about your mother (myself) is I am relentless and have a spirit, a fire that just will not die out. Even when I tried to put it out myself, although it wavered it just started back up again. You see now, I know I was just born this way and I see the same energy in both of you. This is why I decided to start writing this book, because I love you. But I learned early on, I cannot protect you from the cruelty in this world. I decided, if I dedicated each day of my life, to accepting, understanding my “gift, my uniqueness, my craft, then maybe just maybe I can save you; or at least give you a head start on loving and owning yourself. You only get one life, one you, so commit/dedicate your life to learning how to love and understand yourself better each day and the stars will line up for you. Even when I am gone, you will know and see you will do so much good living from the inside out. And your will, will automatically align with God’s will, the will for the good of all mankind and you will reach your full potential and do so much good. You will not harm anyone achieving your dreams, including yourself…. Amen.
