Erica Jordan Palmieri developed an inner critic that stemmed from her psychological diagnoses, social pressures, and crippling fears. Her goal for this series is to face these challenges head on, overcoming shame through self-discovery and ultimately connecting her past to her future. Erica utilizes her memories, childhood journals, and old and new images to create visual representations of her experiences. As a result, the creation of this series has put the past where it belongs. Erica honors these formative years as a guide to the happier, healthier person she is today.
