Boarding Information We offer boarding to grade 5 and onward. For boarding families, please read through the Boarding Handbook for more information and details about boarding.
Music Lessons The Senior School Music Program at The International School Bangalore (TISB) is a comprehensive and inclusive initiative designed to nurture creativity, technical skill, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Through a structured curriculum and individual lessons in both Western and Hindustani vocal and instrumental styles, students from Grades 6 to 12 engage in weekly training with expert instructors. Co-curricular music clubs—including choir, orchestra, jazz, guitar, and keyboard—enhance ensemble playing and collaboration. Regular performance opportunities such as monthly grade-wise recitals, termly senior recitals, a Winter Concert, and an End-of-Year Showcase promote confidence and stage presence. The curriculum evolves from foundational music appreciation in Grades 6–8 to the IGCSE and IBDP frameworks in higher grades, fostering composition, performance, and musical analysis. Student leadership is encouraged through roles such as Music Prefects and involvement in student-led events like TISB’s Got Talent and House Music competitions. The Marching Band adds ceremonial flair to Sports Day, rounding off a vibrant program that empowers every student to explore and express their musical voice.

Friday Newsletters From the week before school reopens, you will start receiving our Friday Newsletters which are sent out to parents and students every Friday and contain important information. Please do look out for this email every week, which may be inadvertently directed to your spam or junk mail.

School Uniform Please note that the formal school uniform including formal black shoes and tie will be compulsory for all students of the senior school on the following occasions from the start of the next academic year: All formal events (Subject Specific Exhibitions, Concerts, Open Days etc) Grade Photographs Tuesday Assemblies End of Term Examinations End of Year Examinations Mock Examinations (Grade 10) Preliminary Internal Examinations and Final Internal Examinations (Grade 12) Grade 10 and Grade 12 - IGCSE and IBDP Board examimations Therefore, the school would recommend that every senior school student should order a minimum of 2 pairs of formal school uniforms starting next academic year. House System At TISB we have four Houses - Discoverers, Explorers, Pioneers, and Voyagers and each student and staff member are associated with a House. Throughout the year there are several inter-House competitions, and the House system is also associated with our Rewards & Sanctions Policy. New students will be informed of which House they are to be in during the first week of school.

Pending documents Please ensure that you have sent all the required documentation requested in the Offer Letter including past reports, Parent Agreement Form, Student Medical History Form, Local Guardian Form (Boarding families only) and the Non-Local Guardian Form.
Student & Parent Portal All parents will be sent account activation details to access to the ISAMS Parent Portal on heir child’s first day at TISB. The iSams parent portal is a site that allows parents to access individual student information like grades and important documents, such as school policies. We urge parents to download the iParent app at the same time, and allow Push Notifications, as you will then be notified when new information and notices are added.
